(Question) Tools Checklist to Get Started

Dear all,

It`ll be great if I could get a confirmation if these are the tools that I`ll need to get started in Affiliate Marketing. And if there`s additional tools that I may need/not need in this list/better options compared to the one that I`ve listed. I am focusing on the mobile site.

For SpyTools, is it a must to get it as it`s actually quite costly for me for now? I`ve read through some post that says that there are places that I can spy for free. Of course the paid one will be better but can I get started with the free options first for now?

1) Affiliate Network - Approval Process
2) Traffic source (Go2Mobi)
3) Forum (STM)
4) Domain (Namecheap.com)
5) Hosting (LiquidWeb)
6) Tracker (Voluum)
7) SpyTools (WhatRunsWhere/SocialAdsNinja)

It`ll be fantastic to hear from the pros here.

Hello,

yes, you can start with free spytools, but it would be a good idea to get adplexity for example as soon as you can afford it, at least for a month.

1 - OK, apply for 2-3.
2 - OK, will do.
3 - OK, glad to have you here
4 - Namecheap isnt the best when it comes to DNS, many people claim it is slow. In case you pointed the DNS info to some other DNS server, all fine.
5 - OK - run some speed tests once you are online, I have no personal experience with LiquidWeb so can't say if it's good or bad.
6 - OK, Voluum is solid, good choice.
7 - These are not really good for go2mobi I would say, adplexity will be better or use the free tools for now.

Good luck

Thanks Matuloo!

Great info but just one quick question. What`s your choice for Hosting?

I`ve no technical skills so that`s the challenge for me when it comes to things like this.

I have 6 dedicated server plus some VPS, DVS and also use a CDN ... spread across various hosting companies, I don't think you should be replicating this at this point - I know I should let a few of them go too

When I was starting, I got myself a VPS with beyondhosting as it seemed to be one of the most recommended ones for AM - and I have to confirm I never had problems with them. The truth is, they are expensive than many other alternatives that people are using - for example digitalocean or vultr. SO the choice is yours

For CDN, I use rackspace cloudfiles and I think they are good enough, the prices are so low that it's pointless to even mention it as its billed by GB transfered and everything in AM is small in size

As for DNS, I'm using dnsmadeeasy.com, but honestly, I have no idea if it helps any, but it's pretty cheap so I got it just to make sure my DNS is fast.

Hi Matuloo!

Since the last time we spoke, these are some things that I`ve done:

1) Affiliate Network - Approved (MaxBounty, IMOCash,Addiliate)
2) Traffic source (Go2Mobi)
3) Forum (STM)
4) Domain (Namecheap.com) - Got 1 domain name with Premium DNS
5) Hosting (LiquidWeb) - with VPS
6) Tracker (Voluum)
7) SpyTools (Adplexity Mobile)
8) VPN (TotalVPN)
9) CDN (Spoke to LiquidWeb support and they say I can use their (CDN)CloudFlare`s feature, is that okay?)

I`ve gotten all the above set up and am following the Mobile Cookbook Appetizer by Caurmen. One thing I realize is that the appetizer does not requires me to use Voluum but I have already got it all set up. Gotta find a way to use this since I`ve started the subscription.

I`ve a few questions here:

1) What`s the use of VPS that I`ve subscribed together with LiquidWeb?

2) Do we use CDN for hosting landing pages? Can I use the CloudFlare that they`ve mentioned?

3) Lastly, can you help me with an idea of the entire process? Sort of like:

Choose campaign > use Adplexity > choose angle > upload landing page on CDN > transfer to VPS >? Something like this.

I would really appreciate your help on this :`)
