Legal Question about the UK, Cookies, Visitor Tracking; Gambling Sector

I plan on launching a landing page that links to a betting product, targeted towards the UK audience. I'm familiar with the fact that you have to disclose that you're cookies on the page, since I'll be using Google Analytics to track traffic [from AdWords]. Does this notice need to appear plainly, like in large lettering on the page, or can a small fine print suffice? And any other notices and disclosures that might be required?

Any help or direction appreciated. Thanks!

I've yet to see a traffic source or the ICO try to enforce the EU cookie consent rules:

Your bigger problem if you don't already have it covered is the restricted nature of gambling keywords in adwords - I believe you need to evidence your gambling licence before Google will run!!

Just in the (very) small fine print is right. Like clickwork7 is saying, its a rule but thousands and thousands of pages are not compliant and the regulator yet has to punish the first one not following the rule. With other words - Dont worry about it :-)

This is the way to do it. You put that small disclaimer on bottom of page, near the privacy policy or so.

Small print notice will suffice! When the UK leaves the EU, you can take down that notice

Hey Rexx have you thought about running display regarding this "betting product"?. Aside from cookie policies, the other thing to know is the compliancies of that country which can be very complicated especially if linked to the "gambling sector" quite a bit of red tape but of course varies on the brands, products etc.
