The Best Way To Test An Offer?
Good day all!
I've recently just started out a few of my first ever campaigns (woohoo!), and I was wondering what's the best way to test an offer to optimize for conversions?
My current method is:
Offer A
======
Angle 1 with 5 different images, eg:
- Angle 1, Image 1
- Angle 1, Image 2
- Angle 1, Image 3
- Angle 1, Image 4
- Angle 1, Image 5
Then split test this accordingly to see if the angle works overall
This can go one of 2 ways:
(1) If angle converts, then split test 5 more images, to find the best converting image
(2) If angle DOESN'T convert, then try above process again with Angle 2
Just would like to get the feel from the STM crowd on whether is this a good way to test a new offer?
Or are there any other better ways to do it?
Thank you so much for everyone's help!!!

Hey there!
firstly I wanted to say good luck, the first campaign is always exciting.
the process sounds good, but I suggest you to test a couple of offers too and add them to the test rotation.
I don't know what kind of traffic source/offers are you going to test but I recommend to follow on this post I was reading this thread by Amy a few days ago:

Heyo
Testing and optimization are 2 very different stages.
You should also split test more ANGLES, not images. Don't start with the details, start with the bigger picture. Have 5 angles, with a very simple/boring image. Heck, you can even try purely text ads with different angles. To get a step ahead in angles, try out AdPlexity. You will get to see most good angles on mobile pops, banners and native.
Now, to go into a bit more detail in the difference between optimization and testing:
When you test, you are looking to compare 2 or more options and see which is the best out of them. The absolute ROI of the best has little relevance. You will have to know how much you can increase that ROI with tests but it's something that changes from one campaign to another.
The optimization stage is when you are looking for profit and are certain enough that your angle(s) and offer(s) are close enough in performance and have a chance at getting profitable that you optimize other things such as traffic, design, bids, etc.

I think this approach looks fine if you swapped image and angle.
Like Manu said, you want to split-test the biggest things first.

Another vote for split testing from me
