Hey Stackerz,
I have already posted a few threads here about using a well known event with your angles in order to promote your offers.
Recently, as at least some of you know, there was a big event (that is still causing waves) called "Brexit". I will not go into details about it (not an expert and its not the place or the point) but its a major event in Europe and UK specifically.
I mention this as its another news event that you can use in order to help push your campaigns.
As stated in an article in Social Times, this event was "used" by big publishers in order to help engage with users in different ways.
Publishers such as Fortune, The Telegraph, Mens Health and more used polls, Swipers, Chat like flows and more in order to engage with users.
They did so as they know that such big events are traffic generators and they can use them in order to engage with their followers.
There are many angles to be used with this on-going event in many verticals and niches.
Its not too late to use Brexit to your advantage and you should always be on the lookout and aware of events like this.

Surprised this hasn't been done more. Huge potential.
An issue millions have an opinion on and are somewhat emotionally involved with - perfect for engagement.
Thanks for the idea, Oran. (ahi

Definitely, the so-called "event" traffic has lots of instances where it can be used eventually:
- Some recurring year to year events and holidays (eg christmas, black friday etc)
- Much anticipated movie/video-game/album etc release
- Big game/tournament (Euro, superbowl, olympics)
- presidential elections
etc
also some shady stuff. i remember some guys exploiting disasters (earthquakes/tsunamis etc) that happen around the world for "fund raising".
What else comes to mind, guys?
It doesnt have to be shady (the exploitation of disasters). After an earthquake or so, you can go with offers that are related to insurances or home improvements. Nothing shady, just taking advantage of it.
