Google called me, should I call back?

Hey guys, Google gave me a routine call regarding my AdWords account and left me a voicemail asking if I needed any help or to discuss the account. Now I'm wondering if I should call them back? I'm running mobile Search campaigns and direct linking offers from affiliate networks... I obviously don't want to lose my account but I'm not sure exactly what to tell them if they ask me about what I'm promoting. I'm not really promoting anything shady so should I have anything to worry about? I know they hate affiliates... If I ignore them will it be better or worse?

ANY advice is much appreciated or if anyone else has some kinda experience with this please tell me your story Thanks!

You are a Agency/Media business!!

So yes - give them a call - be like a real business and you will see things changing.

Yes call them back big boy! Certainly would have liked a call before they nuked my account in the rebill days after letting me run it for a damn year.

As Polarbacon stated as long as you 're within TOS guidelines nothing to worry about.

Having a Google rep has many advantages, for instance;

1. You get to trial new features before the masses

2. You get an analyst assigned to your account reviewing inefficiencies in your account performance

3. You can get the rep to do heavy lifting with a lot account actions like check for features not being utilised and get them to action it, however always review their work first.

4. You can get queries answered by your rep. (Don't believe everything they tell you, challenge it at all times)

Ultimately they are in the business for you to spend more and they want to push to see what they can do to get your account spending more.
Take advantage of that.

LOL the fear is real.... just call them back. I am sure its nothing major, or they are willing to work with you on it. Since they took the time to call you.

Hey, just from a getting suspended stand point you don't have to call them back. I have accounts where I never called them back and no issues. They might be offering to help with something on your account so it won't hurt to call them back.

Even if you are gong to get suspended the person on the phone will be useless for any type of quality advice you can reliably use. Your account getting suspended will be b/c of you calling or not calling back.

I personally don't want to talk to those fools b/c I never get any useful information from them.

Usually they can help you with some account basics but they're usually not advanced at all unless you're a big spender. Usually if you don't answer they'll send a follow up email, and you can use their exact name spelling to find them on LinkedIn to see their experience. If they have many years of experience or have a senior title maybe you might want to get their help. Otherwise kind of pointless.

But I've got hundreds of accounts and never called them back and never had an issue because of not calling them back.

they're not the FBI, and they're not calling to hear how you sound when they question you about what you do...
They’re Google alright but in their case if they want to shut u down they do it without even calling you....
they probably saw you run volumes and wanted to see if they can assist you and expand the campaigns.
as mentioned above it never hurts having a rep.
just say you're a media agency with clients etc...
and try to grill them for information that can help you

I used to call them back out of feat that my lack of response would trigger some review. The times I did call, they just pushed ideas that I knew couldn't work.. like including mobile and tablet traffic for an offer I was promoting that only worked for desktop users. They are all about how to get you to spend more money on the account and don't care much for the "performance" part of the marketing that affiliates need to make things work.

I finally just decided to ignore their calls. No accounts have ever been banned due to me not calling them back.
