Hey guys,
I have a Native ads campaign and my CPM is at 1.63$ approximately. I've spoken to my AM regarding this and she says I need to reach the next CPM Bidding floor but I'm not sure what this means as I've set my bid to 5$ and it didn't make a difference. My win rate % is still quite low so I'm sure I can achieve higher volumes if my CPM increases but it seems to be frozen
Any tips?
Thank you!
Hi Nobelium!
Raising your CPM seems like the only logical option, if that doesn’t do the trick I think you should consult your AM once more to see if there are other factors affecting the volume of traffic that you’re receiving. I’m not sure how their algorithm works, but we (Adnium) use a few different indicators; CPM, CTR, Budget, Niche, etc… meaning raising your bid isn’t the be all end all. I’m sure whatever system you're using might work in a similar way. Good luck
I am not sure which native network you are on, but the important question is whether the CPM you are talking about a network eCPM where you are actually bidding CPC, or you actually bidding for a CPM price on the impression?
If it is the former, the solution is generally much simpler: you will need to improve your ad CTRs and increase your CPC bids.
Hello guys! Thanks for both replies, very great feedback.
@Adnium : I've been explained how the aglorithm works in terms of: closing placements when they don't reach the "Goal CPA" but not exactly when it comes to bidding. I'll ask for a bit more clarity regarding that.
@cmdeal It's a DSP that has recently integrated Native Ads so it's still fairly experimental but the results are good. The bidding is on a CPM basis. Thanks for the information, I will work to increase my CTR% Which at the moment is around 2.6%
Thanks a lot!
Hey nobelium!
My suggestion is to duplicate your campaign and try 5 different bids - 5 different levels! for example - 1.63$, 2.77$, 3.14$, 5.14$, 6.18$
give it some couple of hours to test it, then you'll see which one of those bids give you more traffic. it's a duplicate game!
