Hi guys!
I'm a bit confused on when does a campaign dies.
I understand the offer is the main cause, but what I'm wondering is:
Let's say I have a camp running with optimised settings, certain placements, OS, etc.
And Let's say I'm running a sweepstake offer and that offer dies. If I replace with a similar one that I know is doing good from AM stats, should it work?
Or my traffic optimised traffic is now bored of this type of sweepstakes?
I mean, I see this type of sweepstakes around since ever, so I don't understand they always work for the same traffic or I need to keep looking traffic that works with them?
Also let's say, that optimised traffic is not converting anymore for those kind of sweeps. If I wait a week or 2 and try again, is likely to come back to life?
I would guess when you have a certain list of placements, and promoting for a couple of weeks, the users in those placements start to be the same.
Thanks for any replies!!
Cheers,
Andre
It's hard to know what the issue is here without more info.
If I was to guess it would be because your demographic is so small after all your optimizations that you have already saturated it.
You're right about seeing the same old iPhone sweepstakes being around forever. You don't need to reinvent the wheel (pun intended if you know what I mean) to make things work.
Maybe you should split test a few advertisers at the same time. It's possible that the offer is a bad apple.
you are asking when does the campaign die...
first able it's could happen in most of the times for lead generation stuff.
let's take for example win an iPhone SOI offer,
what could stop the offer running?
1. the offer is saturated
2. budget
3. tech issues, server, tracking...
this is why I always recommend on split testing top converting offers and new offers at one time.
