Traffic Source Reports: TIMEZONES FROM HELL

What to do about these traffic sources not allowing you to change the time zones of your reports?

Based Houston, TX and these traffic sources have time zones all over the place: Netherlands, Russia, Estonia, etc... Every time I generate a report I contemplate suicide

Some sources:
- adCash
- EroAdvertising

Please don't tell me I have to implement API...

track traffic on your side using Voluum or another tracker

What exact data are you looking for?

I either use my time zone in Voluum (or UTC is a good alternative to that), or I just use the traffic source's time zone.

I want to match Voluum and adCash reports. Can't do that since voluum is in GMT -5 and AdCash won't let me change it from their default (GMT+5) or something

Eddie on Voluum use the custom date/time field to run reports aligned at the same time zones

Also when you use the update cost feature in Voluum you can select what time zone you are updating the cost for.

Yeah I understand. It's just a pain though. It'd be much more convenient if these traffic sources would just allow time zone customization. Wouldn't be that hard tbh

What I do currently is go to settings in Voluum and change my time zone to match the traffic source. Its just inconvenient when you're running multiple traffic sources in multiple time zones.

You're right, it's a mega pain in the ass and I don't understand why traffic sources don't offer this option. Actually some do, for example exoclick has that option. It would certainly make our lifes easier.

Manually updating costs is terribly inaccurate. It just spreads cost evenly across placements and doesn't take into account that some placements are cheaper and others more expensive

True, but this is something we have to live with again, right now it's not possible to get click price reported accurately with the CPM mode when targeting more than one placement.

That's why I always look into the traffic source reports

Yup, when I need to do a proper analysis, the only way to do it is to pull the CVS reports and compare them in excel. My coder made me a handy sheet where I can paste the data and it will compare the spend and revenue and mark the loosing placements as RED so it's easy to spot them.
