Help - Weird CTR related to either Traffic source or Tracker (9)

Hi guys,

So I'm running 1 campaign on 2 traffic sources for mobile pops (ZeroPark and PopAds)

I have one single Landing Page, and I'm running traffic in a certain GEO without nearly any optimization on both traffic sources.

On PopAds my LP get's 40.54% CTR
On ZeroPark my LP get's 0.85% CTR

I tried different landing pages, and in all of them PopAds get's more CTR%

Then I tried different hosting, same.

I tried bot traffic actually on Zero Park CTR is higher, so I'm confused, cause if was Voluum problem then Bot Traffic Landing page would have lower CTR as well, but not..

How could this this possible? Any Ideas?

Note: In case you wondering, I did got way more clicks and visits than showing below, so it's not a question of gathering more data.
I just did that quick test to take a screenshot given I had more landers mixed..

How many targets is ZP coming from? Could be just one of them is garbage

40% LP CTR from POP traffic? This is more suspicious than those 0.85% you're getting from zeropark

Zeropark has lower quality traffic than popads, that's why its also way cheaper and this can be also the reason for the lower CTR. Eddie could be right too, check the placements/targets, there could be a few large ones that are messing up the stats.

I still don't understand how you can get such high CTR on pop traffic, what kinda LP is it actually?

It's a lucky wheel LP, they usually have really high CTR but low CR, I get up to 80% CTR on PopAds, I do AB against other type of pages like themed pages, those get CTR lower than 5% in PopAds.

I checked for placements they are all kind of spreaded, too many placements with just one visit and no clicks, and the ones that have more visits have CTR low anyways.
I don't really understand how could be such a huge difference from day to night between 2 traffic sources, I'm gonna try another tracking solution just to be sure it's not related to Voluum.

Here is higher CTR 78.49% if I put the last 3 days for that same page in PopAds

You cannot have 80% CTR on pops, that's not possible. There must be some auto-redirection, backbutton scripts etc that send the visitor directly to the campaign, this screws up your stats. Check the LP, the CTR simply cannot be so high naturally.

Indeed I have backbutton redirect

But still why would the difference be so big between both traffic sources, if it's screwing up my stats, it should screw up in both TRs, not just PopAds.


@eddiezhan: Bot traffic? Are the bots that smart that know which button to click?

For the LP with high % check for multiple clicks from the same IP. My Voluum stats are always so fucked because they count duplicate clicks.

You are right, the LP should do the same for both traffic sources - but only if they had the same traffic.

The big difference is probably caused by the bots, I would say there are more bots on ZP and those cannot be redirected by backbutton script, so that's why the CTR is so low on ZP traffic.

And yes, as Jordan said above, duplicate clicks can mess up the stats too.
