I used to spend xx,xxx daily on FB about 2 years ago, decided to get my feet wet again on the platform. I fired up a campaign and tested a whitehat FB approved skin care product to 1.6MM people Newsfeed Desktop, auto-bidding on clicks to website. 2 things:

1) Desktop Newsfeed CPC's are nearly $3 w/ a 1.23% CTR. Is this normal? Does my account has a bad 'quality score?' (3+ years old over $x,xxx, xxx spend)
2) Why is all the traffic going to one creative? Should I put one creative in each adset?
3) What should Desktop CPC/CTR should I aim for?
And any other pointers in general would be appreciated.
Thanks.

1. Your QS needs to be worked on for sure, your ad is not performing well, you need better ads with higher RS (8+)
2. Some ads just “take off” better than others, if you're split testing images, separate them into different adsets.
3. Aim for 5-7%+ CTR, come up with better angles. Have you considered running a Conversions campaign?

I put every ad into its own adset... Their ad tester has always prematurely favored ads.
Yeah, I think the best way to try every ad is to create multiple adsets for each ad. Fb is kind of weird sometimes, and they don't send traffic to some ads that can actually provide good results.
5-7 % CTR for CPM?
