Hello,
I am running a sweeps campaign and after testing discovered that IOS did better than Android. So i decided to test IOS only. It turns out that the campaign is doing well from an ROI, however, I am getting very limited traffic on PopCash. I raised the bid a few times and still slow moving.
I am unsure if there's anything else I can do, or if it's worth it to keep going?
Any suggestions would be excellent.
Thanks!
If you have to cut Android out and work with IOS, that means you should try to improve your funnel which may include but not limited to:
- Offer Testing: Even when you grab the top 2 offers from your preferred affiliate network. Be sure to test the similar offer or another top 1 offer from other affiliate networks to really be sure if your offer is the top one. There's 100s of affiliate networks out there, but I say go with your top 5 and then figure out which offer is doing the best with which network.
-Landing Page: Are your landing pages optimized in terms of speed? Did you make sure you tested a significant amount of landers. Amy(Vortex) suggests testing 5-10 ripped landers. This is a good approach as you will know in the end what lander to use to the set the rest of your campaign. Be cognizant that after you find your winning lander you can move on. But, an additional approach is taking the winning lander and decide to create different angle variations to try to come up with an even better ROI. But, that's entirely up to you if you want to spend that time. If you're working with a Tier 1 geos with a lot of traffic I'd say go with it. But, if you're only working with a small geo like Bermuda then I wouldn't really bother with creating many angle variations. Unless there's a huge upside to it(i.e. pin submit offer$10-$20 converting like crazy).
- Bids: You've already tested this.
-Targeting: I kinda missed this info even 6 months into AM. When you're testing offers and landers and as of now you split your traffic up to only IOS, you can look back and narrow down to which offer did good for that specific OS and then after you discover which offer is the best for that OS then you check OS ----> Best Offer -----> Which one is the best lander now?
NOTE: I'm in your position as well where I narrowed down to one OS. Android was doing better and had more conversions, but wasn't enough as the costs were higher. Although IOS had lower costs, it was closer to breaking even. Also, just by cutting out just a few targeting factors all of a sudden traffic is decreased even being the highest bidder. My plan of action is to port the campaigns over to other Traffic Sources to see if I'm getting the same results as in where I have to cut Android. If that's the case that means I have to work on my overall funnel from the first traffic source.
Hopefully this could help increase your ROI in some ways!
iOS has always way lower volume than Android, there are several reason for it but that's how it is. You can try to scale this to different traffic sources if the ROI really looks promising, you can also open the capping and try to make several campaigns with the same targeting. Other than that, there is not much you can do to get more volume, unless you want to try other traffic types - for example display/banners...
Simon is very right with one thing, Android is where the volume in POPs is at, so you should learn how to crack it
I appreciate the feedback! I will definitely put these tips to action! Regarding affiliate networks, I am currently using Clickdealer and Admilis. Can you recommend a few others that have similar mobile offers?
