Problems getting basic website to work

Newbie question here, a bit confused by all of this:

-I registered a domain on namecheap.
-I'm using NSone, and believe I properly did all of the A, CNAME, NS records (from zeno's tutorial).
-The nameservers from NSone were added to namecheap, and seem to work properly.
-I uploaded a few files to Rackspace, and have a CNAME record pointing to "c93908..blahblah...rackcdn.com"
-I obtained an IP from Beyond Hosting, and have "A-records" pointing to the IP

Are all of these actions necessary, or is any of this overkill? When trying to view my website, all I see is an "Index of /" (see attached). I probably have some minor issues that need addressing, and am simply trying to get a generic 1-page website to display attached to my domain name. I can provide additional information as necessary.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

have you uploaded an index.html or index.php file?

Use file manager to upload your website (zip file, then unzip) to the public_html folder.

You're seeing the index of page because there's no content in the web directory. Looks like you have everything else setup ok.

Thanks for the response Malan. I ended up ditching Rackspace and buying a cheap website template to avoid the headache. Everything is working great, now I can focus on the fun part.
