I've been using a facebook account for some time now using my cc and a bank account as backup funding incase the limit gets hit on the cc.
I opened a new one today and tried to use paypal as the funding source which kept giving me errors, so I used the bank account from the first account as the funding source as I don't intend on doing anything shady etc - all goes well.
I went to create another ad and it asks me for a funding source yet again so I checked in the account and it had disappeared for some reason so I added it again - got an error - so added it again and now I'm greeted with this message:
"Our systems have detected unusual payment activity on your account. As a security precaution, the payments functionality on your account has been disabled and all of your ads have been stopped. For more information, please contact us."
I've filled out the form with the information I believe was correct when I signed up
so waiting on a reply for them.
Thing is now on my other account (#1) which I've been using for months, the bank account details have now disappeared from there too, I don't want to try add them again just incase the same happens to that account.
Do you think after they have checked out that I'm legit (bar not putting in a correct name/dob etc on the accounts) I will get access to the one with the unusual payment activity and be able to use my card again?
Just pissed me off because I'm pretty much stuck for the day and had a fair few things I wanted to launch.
Anyone ever gone through this before?
Havn't had this issue as i use a diff CC for each of my accounts, and no backup funding on any of them.
Technically speaking it should be fine, they should see your first account is legit, just mention you were opening a second account for another company your running with a partner and didn't want them connected... but then again it's the online advertising space and if we've learned any from google these companies don't make sense a lot of the time. The best you can do is get a hold of someone, get their contact #, and explain over the phone.
Just to keep your optimism up; the worst case scenario isn't too bad, it'll just be a roadblock for a month while you build a new account back up.

Right just got an update of this:
"Thank you for your patience. Upon concluding an investigation into your account, your account has been reactivated, and you should be able to access it now. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."
Bout time something went right today, just to confirm Stack it's ok to use the same funding source for multiple campaigns right? I think the issue was that errors were occuring so I was changing the details and trying again etc.
The bank account is funding the new one but in my original one it's still just the CC so I'll hold off resubmitting the bank account and maybe try another card of mine instead.
