Newb Question About PPV Process Flow

I am new to AM, and have a question about PPV. When I buy placement on a traffic network, I place a banner on the traffic source, which a prospect clicks on, which takes him to my landing page, which leads him to the offer?

Hi, quantuml!

On PPV, you pay for the number of views/impressions your material (in this case, your banner) is getting. This is the pricing model of the network you’re working with. What you’ve described is the conversion flow. Get it?

One thing is what you pay to get the traffic. The other one is the flow that starts with the impression/view and ends with the conversion.

This is how you get paid:

Impression (the banner appears to the end user) -> Click (the user clicks the banner) -> Visit (the user sees the Landing Page) -> Conversion (the user installs/subscribes to the offer)

I hope this has been able to clarify things for you!

Good luck starting your journey!

Cheers!

Ok, so with PPV, I need both a banner and a landing page?

Hi, quantuml

I mentioned banner as an example. It can be other advertising materials such as a Pop up/ Popunder, overlay, etc.

Moreover, please note that there's a difference between landing page and pre landing. The landing page is the offer’s page which already comes from the advertiser. Sometimes, there's a Pre landing page that's created by the affiliate to increase the quality of the users that subscribe to the offer. In the case of a Popunder/Popup this is definitely recommended but not mandatory for you to have. It's an option you've got if you wanna create a good prelanding page and have better quality of traffic that arrives to the offer.

Hope I've been able to help!

Cheers!

Ah ok. So the ideal flow would be for me to place a popup on a target url, the viewer clicks the popup, which takes him to a landing page. The landing page describes the benefits of the offer, which then directs them to the merchant?

Hi,

The landing page is already the page of the advertiser where the user is going to subscribe to the offer.

What I mentioned before is that you can design a Pre-landing page that will be like a confirmation page. This way, you'll ensure the user who subscribes to the offer (when getting to the landing page) really wants to do it.

By doing this, you'll ultimately increase the quality of the traffic.

Hope I've been able to help!

Cheers!
