pay per call for client / smb -- questions

Anyone here have experience running really local pay per call campaigns? (think just 1 major city)

I've run test campaigns for a few of my agency clients and they all seem to just 'do nothing'

either don't get any impressions or get 0 clicks

i've even bloated bids and budgets up to 10x our normal search costs and still nothing.

let me know, i'd like to hop on skype with someone and figure this out.

if you're local i'll buy you a coffee, otherwise we can figure something out.

Local campaigns can be tricky because there might not be much scale to go after. Sounds like your running PPC from the message. You might want to check out other more local oriented channels like YP.com or Yelp etc.

Also depends on what you are targeting of course (niche)?

Are you using broad match on the kw's to cast a wider net?
Even with the 10x increase, can you determine what position of the page(s) in the search results your ad is showing?
