Viral content site + native ads? (11)

Hi guys,

I've been running successfuly ecommerce businesses up until now - Amazon + Shopify stores.
I recently got into the content arbitrage game. Anyone is banking with a viral site + native ads style yourdailydish.com ?
I have a site ready, slideshows, a team of writers. I've run several campaigns and got very poor results.
However I see through Adbeat that many sites are banking with this model... but how?
Is it still possible to work directly with adsense or they punish you by taking off your arrows? do you need a monetization network for that?
Would love to have a mastermind with few who are successful, I'm FB expert but want to learn more about native ads and this awesome model.

I've been in the Adsense click arb game for about a year and a half, buying traffic from native ad networks like Outbrain/Taboola/Content.ad. Up until Feb/March of this year, I was making roughly $ x,xxx a day with ROI's north of 2-300% easy.

However, as you have mentioned, Google implemented the Nessie arrow change recently. Things came crashing down very quickly and I've barely been breaking even the past few months. Adsense CTR went from 6-8% down to 1-2% and CPC more than halved. This is well documented and occurred to a lot of publishers out there (Try searching "[Month] 2016 AdSense Earnings and Observations" on Webmaster World).This is a combination of intended algorithm change as well as the "Smart Pricing" policy, I suspect, implemented by Google to discourage said viral sites and click arb altogether.

I don't think it's a good time for you or anybody else to get into this click arb model at the moment. Plus, what I've learned is not to put your eggs in only Google's basket. When it was going good, it was great as I was instantly profitable, even after a day or so. But then again, you're always one algorithm change way from making zilch
