Redirect Problem

Hello STM'ers

I am doing a mobile sweeps campaign . I am using Voluum for tracking and go2mobi and F5media for traffic and the offer. The offer is for UK only.

I let the offer run for a short time and i got 299 visits to my lander and 21 clicks on it and 0 conversions. I have been looking at Voluums data and I

looked under the country tab (out of curioisity) and I was shocked to see that 136 visits and 8 of the clicks came from Saudi Arabia. I noticed that my ad was being clicked on

more from other countries than the country I targeted. Only 7 clicks came from the UK. Is there something I can do to prevent this? I'm also wondering how this happened in the first place.

First of all check the GEO setting in go2mobi, all kinds of things can happen and anyone can miss-click

There is always a small % of visits from different GEOs - part of it are reviewers (tho I dont think go2mobi has reviewers in saudi arabia , there can always be some bots who slip through etc, but it should certainly be a small %.

Also check the reports in go2mobi, how many clicks do they report compared to what you see in Voluum ?

Hi again Mr Matuloo

I have the geo set for UK only and go2mobi reports 305 clicks. I have made a few of the clicks myself when i checked the landing page. These clicks show up as Canada. Can't understand this Saudi Arabia thing.

Try to contact go2mobi support, looks like a glitch in their system.

So I did contact go2mobi. Thye gave me a refund. Which was good of them. But i have to stop the campaign as this problem still occurs and I'm not converting anyways.

That's good - it means they have accepted the fault. Try and work out the % percentage of traffic affected by this and arrange this as discount on your spend with them.
