What makes you transfer from Biz Opps to Sweep? If something works I tend to stick with it.

Hey, I just happened to rotate a biz opp offer into one of my sweeps campaigns and it killed it. And I wasn't doing bad in sweeps to start off with. I've been keeping an eye out for a good offer but so far my AM don't have any for me to test.

If you had success with bizopp, I would also recommend to stay in that vertical for a while. Try to use a service like offervault.com and look for similar offers there, or joing some more networks and ask for bizopp offers, just because your current network doesnt have any, doesn't mean its gonna be the case everywhere.

Hi Matuloo, thanks for that advice! It's definitely I've been keeping an eye out on. The only reason why I've been hesitant on going back is because I am working on a budget... The payouts for those are extremely high.. I must've lucked out! I do have an account with offervault so I will go back and take a look..
In the meantime, I have experience with Sweeps so I'd like to make this work as well. I started off with sweeps... rotated a biz opp offer in using my Sweep lander and it converted and killed it.
Edit:
Spoke to my AM who provided me with the biz opp offer and he said that Native, FB, Search and Display is doing the best for the biz opp offer that died for me... I was doing mobile display and pops. Unfortunately, I don't have the budget to compete in native yet.

Alright, so quick update on my three campaigns thus far... I decided to cut my FR campaign.. it had potential but because I am working on a budget I have to cut it and put the funds to those with more potential.
I had a minor setback with my VN campaign as the advertiser only allows specific carriers and POPADS only allowed me to target 1 of them.
All in all I resumed my VN campaign today so not much stats to show there..
However, Belgium is continuing to show potential.
Campaign#3
GEO: BE
TS: PopAds
Landers: 3
Offer: 1
Bid: Above-Average
Spend: $19.13
Revenue: $10.25
ROI: -46.42%
My three variations of landers are still converting evenly so I will give it another day to collect more data before I cut one of them. I cut a several placements that was 3 to 4x my payout... I also found another similar offer in that geo to split test with and it's converting...
In the past couple of days I was fortunate enough to find a mentor who is a known affiliate to the community and I've been learning quite a bit from him.. currently working on a new project in a new vertical that is new to me so I will update everyone when I get started with that. For this BE campaign i've taken a look at placements that are profitable and the dozen that are.. they have minimal traffic so I can't make any decisions off that yet.
This campaign is definitely improving and I think it will take me a few more days to get it closer to break even!
TO-DO:
- Review datapoints to find pockets of green
- Let BE run for a couple more days and create a whitelist campaign
- Test bid-levels to find one that will get me the best ROI
- Cut one lander based on Stat. sig. and test more variations over the next couple of days
I've received a couple of comments so far about sticking to something that's working - I completely agree but at this point in time I am working on a budget.. when i was profiting with biz opps in the past I spent money I didn't have. It was definitely nice seeing those numbers come in but it left me in a struggle for a couple weeks - which wasn't fun. I really appreciate the feedback. My goal right now is to do whatever it takes to get back into green!
Chao!

Have you tried the staggered bid approach with PopAds? What I mean by this is setting up three different campaigns with 3 different bid points. In this way if you're bidding lower, you'll pay at a lower CPM and still might get the same amount of conversions as if you would of bid at the high point. Therefore, increasing your profit while decreasing your costs.
For Example:

So in this case, I'd create campaigns with these following bids:
High Bid Campaign: 0.0125 <---- (0.015 Bid + 0.01 Bid)/2
Mid Bid Campaign: 0.0095 <---- (0.01 Bid + 0.009 Bid)/2
Low Bid Campaign: 0.0081 <---- (0.009 Bid + 0.0072 Bid)/2

Hey Simon! Been reading your follow alongs a lot lately! I actually do have the campaigns ready to do that.. i just wasn't sure if i should do it right from the start or wait until i start identifying my winning lander and offer... Should I be doing it right from the start even when I am still testing offers?

Everybody's strategy is different. I like to organize my campaigns in a way where once I narrowed down winning lander and offer combo, I just start testing smaller things like bids, time targeting, etc...

Another quick update! I ran into an issue with PopAds... The advertiser for my VN offer only allows 4 carriers and unfortunately, Popads only has one of those carriers. Affiliate Manager asked me to pause and find a new traffic source so I will be buying traffic from Zeropark! I took Simon's advice and did some staggering bids and do have stats for half of the day though.
Campaign #1 VN
High-Bid
Revenue: $1.68
Cost: $9.81
ROI: -82.88%
Mid-Bid
Revenue: $2.24
Cost: $10.10
ROI: -77.82%
Low-Bid
Revenue: $6.16
Cost: $19.35
ROI: -68.17%
Overall
Revenue: $10.08
Cost: $39.26
ROI: -74.33%
Belgium I also did a stagger bid and uncovered one bid to be better than the other three for the day.
Campaign #2 BE
High-Bid
Revenue: $3.00
Cost: $20.06
ROI: -85.05%
Mid-Bid
Revenue: $3.20
Cost: $7.04
ROI: -54.55%
Low-Bid
Revenue: $0
Cost: $1.85
ROI: -100.00%
Overall
Revenue: $6.20
Cost: $28.95
ROI: -78.58%
For belgium compared to yesterday, I did do worse. Also reviewing data, I don't have much to work with yet so I will let this campaign run for a couple more days. 3 Landers I am testing are pretty much even in conversions and CTR etc. After a couple of days I will have to cut one lander and test variations of the two.
To Do List
- Add backscripts to the landers to see if I could increase CR and CV
- Rotate into the campaign another offer
- Launch into the new geo that i selected
- Get into Zeropark and launch VN campaign there
In the mean time, I am working on adding some backscripts to the landers to see if I could increase CR and CV. I will also be rotating another offer into this campaign.
