affiliate network set up

hey

probably a dumb question

but i was curious to know

once u are set up with an affiliate network

every time you apply for an offer and get approved

can you simply set things up and run with it and assume the offer conversion set up is working properly

or should you contact you AM and have a test conversation done first before sending traffic to it

i hope that makes sense. was just curious.

thanks

I would look at the landing page, test responsiveness etc, if something sets of a red flag, contact your AM to double check things.

For the most part, you can just run with it as soon as you are approved as the network will have tested things.

I think you are asking about the technical aspect of setting up postbacks with the aff network etc ... once an aff network set's up a global postback for you and you have tested it with one offer, it will work with any other offer from them, assuming you are still using the tracking you used to structure the postback - in case you change your tracking, you need to setup a new postback url.

Whether the offer will actually convert and if all is setup correctly on the advertisers side is a different thing, so you should always ask your AM if the offer is alive at all before sending any traffic.

@matuloo

thanks for the reply. that clarifies things for me.

i should have things set up now but not getting any replies from my AM to do the test conversion. so ill definitely wait for that reply.

been trying to get on other networks in the mean time but not much luck. kinda frustrating. but i guess things take time.

Ask your AM about the offer.

Ask them if there are conversions on it in the last couple of days (or maybe even on the same day).

If its a new offer or not something very popular, you can also ask to perform a test for you.

Most chances are the offer is good to go, but these suggestions are if you still want to be even more sure...

Yes, I know how bad this can feel, but sadly, you gotta get through it, that's what he beginning is like in AM.

yeah its cool. i know this is just part of the process. i got accepted to mobusi yesterday so that is something.

but i get that the initial stages always the most annoying.

anyway i have no rush. ill just keep plugging away and learning in the mean time.

Mobusi is pretty good for untargeted mobile traffic, so maybe you will get something working with them. Ask for the best converting GEOs and pick some that has cheap traffic available and start testing
