Just curious, is anyone having issues with Adcash black/whitelisting?
The feature just stopped working for me out of no where. It deleted all my previous blacklisted zones on ALL my campaigns which sucks because that's money I already spent on optimizing data. I try to add zones to blacklist individually or on a preset blacklist list and it does not work. I'll add the zones, save the campaign, and exit. When I go back to check the blacklisted zones are not saved and traffic still runs on the blacklisted zones. I emailed support and after a few generic responses they said they checked with their tech department and the issue will not be resolved. ???
I figured it's some sort of bug that will be fixed but it's been over a week and same results.
This makes Adcash unusable for me and I've had to stop all my campaigns. Just wanted to see if others have experienced this or if there's an Adcash rep here to help.
I have.
For some weird reasons, nowadays when you add a preset list and save it, close it and reedit the campaign, the preset list will be gone. Instead, the zones in the preset list will automatically be added to the "Only display the campaign on these zones" field.
I currently cut placements by directly placing the zones in this field now. Also, you can no longer paste a whole list of zones into the list and expect Adcash to cut the whole bulk for you as before. You gotta do it manually. Slow and tedious. Adcash definitely needs a revamp
Ah! Well good to know it's not just me I guess, but yeah Adcash definitely needs to fix this. I'm slowly just letting my budget dwindle while testing random campaigns and don't plan on making another deposit til its fixed. The preset list isn't being automatically added to that field for me, and when I try to place the zones individually they still won't save. That'd make it still usable for me. Don't know how they can have such a vital part of their platform not work correctly for such a long period of time.
Yeah, I always have to double check after blacklisting adcash. For some reasons sometimes it never goes through at all. Might take a few times to actually get it added to the blacklist.
With adcash I noticed the same issue as you spacey. Talking with their support was pointless. Now I just use both the Audience --> Blacklist, then I double it up in the campaign edit function. Typically I'll check the campaign a few hours later to see what their software did.
Also, if anyone knows how to block out tablets from a mobile campaign that would be super helpful!
After more emailing and even mentioning this thread they've replied that it should be fixed. It's not for me. It's okay, this lead me to try propellerads which seems to have way more traffic.
As far as I know whereishome, Adcash doesn't have device targeting.
It'd be so nice to have a traffic source, that had good quality, cheap traffic, all the targeting options, AND actually have it work. Haha wishful thinking.
Hi guys!
I have a question regarding Adcash whitelisting and blacklisting.
When I go to my old campaigns, I see "Apply preset blacklist: My_blacklist" and directly below that I see "Do not display on these zones: followed by a lot of zones and some of them are red".
I only used the blacklist feature, I did not blacklist separately on the campaign level.
This is very confusing to me... I was hoping that when I apply the global blacklist to a campaign, it will work automatically. When I add a placement ID to the blacklist, it should be automatically added to the campaign right? So why do I see some red zones in the "Do not display on these zones"?
Another bad thing is that there are the red zones in my blacklist and I cannot submit it until I remove the red zones... I guess those were fake traffic zones which were banned from the system. I'm not expecting a refund but why I'm I forced to remove a zone when it doesn't exist anymore?
This makes it really difficult to use... Any suggestions?
Hi azureus!
When you create a preset blacklist and apply this your campaign, then all zones on the blacklist are applied. If you then update your blacklist, it will also be updated for the campaigns that this list has been used for.
The red zones which you see listed are zones that are no longer active, which is why you will need to remove these before you can save the blacklist. We understand this may more work for you, but we appreciate your feedback.
