Pinterest to allow affiliate links again

Two weeks ago, Pinterest reported that they now allow affiliate links again.

About a year ago they banned such links due to spam and in order to improve the user experience, but they now have a better spam detection system and with their belief that it will help them get better content, they feel its time to get the affiliates back in action.

Does any of you stackers have experience with Pinterest? Would be interesting to hear if anyone has some insights on this platform as a traffic source.

Smart move to encourage more participation on the network and re-engage users to add more content.
Pinterested to see how that coincides with their "Promoted Pin" option available for US, UK and CA.
