hey
just wanted to find out if anyone could help me clarify the next step once i have chosen an offer
do i test multiple angles at once.
or just narrow down to one angle and work that until i figure out if its working or not, and then move on to the next angle
and for each angle what is the appropriate amount of banners to start with.
this is for a direct linking app install.
thanks.
Hello,
this depends a lot on your budget and how comfortable you feel about analyzing data.
Testing one angle takes less $ to get significant data, however, when you start with just one angle you have nothing to compare it with.
The same goes for banners more or less, the more of them you test, the more $ you have to spend to be able to make decisions. But again - you need to test various banner styles to be able to compare them and pick the best ones.
It's good to keep the numbers rather small with your first campaign but you still need the variety.
Since you don't want to use LPs, you have basically 2 options here - are you gonna test the angles or banner styles first?
If it's angles : make one banner design and make copies of it, each with a different angle - lets say 5.
If you wanna start with the banner types : pick one angle and make 5 design variations - with button, without button, static, animated ... VERY different styles.
Once you know what performs the best, proceed with the other part : So if you started with angles, now you have let's say 2 best angles so take them and make 5 different banner styles for each of the angles and test them again. Or vice-versa if you started with the design style test.
In my opinion, its better to start with the angles, then move to the style part.
@matuloo
thanks matuloo. that cleared up this question in my mind.
I will proceed with 5 angles and then narrow them down to 2, and then work on style variations.
