Hello guys. I am doing mobile marketing as I learn it from "The Appetiser" section of the "Mobile Cookbook" by Caurman.
I'm doing it as explained except I added a landing page which I learned how to make from Caurmans
"How To Build a Simple Mobile Lander That Actually Works" . I tried direct linking first but I read that I could get better
results on sweeps if i use a lander. So what happened is I got about 300 clicks showing up on go2mobi and a grand total of 15 clicks
showing on f5media reports page (with 2 conversions). I know this is more than click loss. I checked my landing page loading speeds. Gt metrix gave me a high score..
so did google pagespeed insights. I contacted my web host support as well. They say i have a good speed (.3secs). I tried dotcom-tools and it shows
slower speeds from the far away countries. Im targeting New Zealand. So now im not sure if it is the speed or not.
I dont know where I should be looking to fix this problem. Anyone care to steer me in the right direction.
Thanks
Hello, so you see 300 clicks in go2mobi and only 15 made it to the affiliate network. If I understand it right, you are using a landing page now.
You need to realize not all users also click through the landing page, in reality only minority of them does and if the landing page is bad, only a fraction of them does. So maybe your LP has a CTR of 10%, out of those 300 clicks only 270 or so make it to the landing page from various reasons (timeouts, connection problems ...), then 10% click through which is 27 clicks... now, all affiliate networks count less clicks than you send them, it can be just a minor loss but in some case cases it can be bigger %. If there are bots, duplicate clicks etc ... networks will not count them.
So if you consider all this, the 15 clicks now doesn't look so much out of this world, right? You didnt mention if you use any kind of tracker - that would help to analyze the LP CTR and also duplicate IPs and a ton more data.
You need to find a way to measure your LP performance, using a tracker is the best way for sure. Then you need to get more LPs, split test them and work on making them better.
Thank you for your response. Thats very important and useful information for me.
About the tracking, no I didn't use. I have P202 but I dont know how good it is for mobile campaigns. Anyways I will make more LP's and see about tracking with what I have.
I should have mentioned that direct linking gave click numbers that were much closer together between f5 and go2 after I stopped the lander.
Thank you again Mr Matuloo
Thanks! Yes I will get a paid tracker as I'm very serious about succeeding at this.
Hey, paras57, good start, keep it up!
You may find interesting
Btw, you can also create LPs on our side and host them
Thank you for the info Alexom . Good to know. Unfortunately, I already got the
