Hi,
A noob question on ecommerce; for e.g. an online store, if a customer click on my link and sign up an account with that online store, I understand that whatever he buys in that store, I will get a % commission set by the offer.
Q1. Does it mean I will still get a % commission (for future purchases) thereafter when he log into his account to buy, even without clicking my link? As it will be normal that the person will just go to that online store website after signing up.
Q2. (This Q is still about his future purchases) If Q1 is yes I will still get a % commission. If he signs up using his CPU computer, my guess is whenever he log in to his account (using his CPU computer), my link should be captured and I will get my % commission of whatever he buy. However if one day he decides to log into his account for the first time, using his laptop or mobile and make the purchases, will I still get a % commission off that?
Thank you in advance
Hey ricash, I think I understand your question.
If you are using Aliexpress for example as an affiliate for other people's products then the answer is no. The sale only counts for that single visit from the customer. It wasn't always like that but that is how it is now.
Other sites are a bit different tho and have an affiliate cache for a month or more.
There are a couple of little plugins that potentially elongate the length of the cache for your customers but i think that's a good way to get in trouble with an AM!
Make sure to pick the right affiliate service and products to get the most out of the cache!
Good luck!
