Bing Follow Along. (21)

Bing Follow Along.

Im going to be running traffic on Bing.

I am using Thrive as my tracking platform.
I have aweber to capture leads.
I have a Bing account (of course)
Various CPA networks to work with.
I will be using free tools such as Follow.net and ispionage.com
I have a paid subscription to Spyfu.com

My first campaign is going to be surveys, I understand they do well with search. All of the payouts are lowish, around $2.50
My initial budget is going to be $50 a day.
I am going to start with 4 ads and 2 landing pages and 2 offers.
I am copying 2 popular landing pages that I found spying, and make changes from there.

My campaign is live

2 ads
2 landing pages
1 offer is what I have to start with.

So far I have spent about $10 and I got a single conversion worth $2.25

While it is converting, this traffic is really slow so that has me frustrated.

After some ad spend, I have huge CTRs around 80%

I am going to work on my ads, I think they are the lowest performers right now. I am also implementing brand new landing pages that should help with conversions.

I will move from 2 ads, 2 landers, to 4 ads and 4 landers.

Then I will start pausing the ones that perform the worst.

Is this a Bing search campaign? What vertical?

Im going to stop using Thrive as my tracker. It is not reporting in a way that works for me.

For one of the days of my Bing campaign, I see that I had 41 clicks from Bing. Thrive show that I have 91 clicks.

The problem is that Thrive do not let me sort my traffic without paying for an additional module. Then, it doesnt apply retroactively to my traffic either.

So I have to start the campaign over again.

thanks for asking...

I mentioned Thrive in my previous post... I was misunderstanding a function in Thrive because my install was broken.

It took me a day or so to get that worked out, and I havent gotten my campaigns running again just yet.

As Im sure most people know, tech problems can bring everything to a halt and it can take time to get back up running.

Now my tracking is working exactly as I need it to.

I have hit another problem now and that is Bing quality score. So now I am back to my researched trying to look at different angles to promote for different ad groups with each ad group having several page variations.

So the survey offers didnt work out?

05-30-2016 04:54 AM #11 oneano (Member)

Such low payout and high cpc... But I see a lot of competition so I know Surveys are possible

To get my cpc lower I broke a single campaign into two each with a different angle and its own group of landing pages. I need to give it a day to see if my ad score went up.

Im using optimize press to deploy my landing pages quickly (this is not mobile traffic) I came across a bug that doesnt let me copy the scripts from page to page. So I ran a bit of traffic to pages that do not work. they should be fixed and launched (again) today.

Hey, @oneano, glad you solved your tracking problems. I usually faced Bing conversions and clicks tracking problems, as it has too many bots. What about spending time on you tracker installation, so it depends upon your needs you may use cloud platform in order not to waste your time.

Anyway look forward to see your results

My campaigns are paused again. Im having a lot of growing pains

My conversions are not tracking properly and when I check the ad network, no subid seems to be passed. Now Im waiting on an email.

I think I have gotten my tracking working, but it still isnt perfect so all of this data is just approximate.

So far I have spent 147.82

Tested several ad copies
Avg ctr is 0.8 with 0.9 being my best ctr so far.

Tested two landing pages, I have noticed that the landing page ad copy has some disconnect and I am going to start working on that today.
My average landing page ctr is 46%
Firefox performance is about 15% lower than Chrome or IE so something there seems off, I need to check that page again for compatibility.

I was testing two offers, but one was always slightly better so I dropped the lower performing offer. The top offer has a conversion rate of 13.6%

My next step is to work on the landing page copy, I think with a better unified message than I can get a higher conversion rate.
My second step is to look at the firefox compatibility, Im running a script that may not be compatible.
I will keep testing fresh ad copy.
I will continue to prune low performing keywords.

Once I get these systems In place I want to work with collecting these leads to get my ROI up and possibly profitable.

This payout is low @ 2.25
My cpc is high @ 0.84

Am I taking all of the right steps here? Please call me out if I am making mistakes

Man, your numbers are going to be really difficult (impossible) to make work. You'll have better luck with a higher payout and/or a lower traffic cost.

I can see that

Is it worth going forward and optimizing the page to collect the lead and sell them a second time?

Im back!

This is auto loans on Bing payout is $9.00
I have 49 clicks today and 1 conversion.
My cpc is 0.75

My landing page CTR is awful, Im not sure how to bring it up, I have tried several landing pages so far. Everyone that I ask tells me that it looks good enough, but my landing page CTR is around 8%

I have my budget set at $60 a day and I have a ton of keywords Im running.

09-11-2016 12:49 AM #19 oneano (Member)

Today is a lot like yesterday,

Spent $42.39

Conversions $9.00

Landing page CTR is still really low around 8%

Im thinking that I dont have the experience to spend $1000 testing this campaign to get it into profits. Any insights for me?

Maybe try Pay Per Call and optimize for mobile only. Think of something that people are actually would go and search for. Insurance for a house or something like that for example. Food for thought

Did you analyze the devices your traffic comes from? Maybe most of the bing clicks are mobile and your page is not optimized for that?
