Fitness Ads on Facebook

Hey everyone,

I'm attempting to sell a self written fitness product for women, and am currently trying to advertise it on facebook.
But my ads are constantly rejected.
The ads I tried: Click image for larger version.

Name:	ad1.jpg
Views:	130
Size:	46.6 KB
ID:	11384 Click image for larger version.

Name:	ad3.jpg
Views:	95
Size:	44.2 KB
ID:	11385

The onscreen text says: "Are you fit for the summer?"

Do you have any advice on promoting fitness products on facebook, and what I could improve to get my foot in the door?

Best regards

With the image 1 you're begging to get banned.

What about the second image?
Or could it be, that it failed because of the ad text?

The Title was along the lines of: "Do you want a fit and toned body?"
"We present you the most effective program to get a lean and toned body"

The statement in your ad suggests the user doesn't have a fit and toned body. Facebook want to keep users happy - and users complain about the oddest of things. A lot of touchy people around.

Most wl nutra rebillers on Facebook don't even directly say they're promoting weight loss related stuff anymore. They use clickbate titles to lure traffic in, get them engaged, then go for the hard sell.

You sound like you have developed a quality product, I would focus more around the brand first. Getting some success stories from real people. Building an image.

I see. It seems I had a completely wrong impression how fb works.

The site went online a few days ago and I am currently contemplating, what the best action would be right now.

This is the site: http://venusfitness.de

Do you have any advice, what a good first action would be to get the word out? SEO or should I just adapt my fb ads and hope for the best?

I'm not an expert on the fitness niche, so if one of STM's fitness niche experts jumps in listen to them not me . Having said that, here's some things I'd be thinking about if I was promoting this site:

Hope that helps!

Well done landing page. Is this a DE-only product atm?

I totally agree with bobliu and caurmen on their points. This said you can definitely try to sell directly on Facebook as well. I'd test at least the following three funnels, each with a variety of ads and pages:

1) fb ad --> sales page
2) fb ad --> pre-sales page (blog, review, etc) --> sales page
3) fb ad --> newsletter signup --> autoresponder series providing value (free tips) --> special sales page (with discount)

Additionally you should definitely make use of FB pixels and Custom/Lookalike Audiences once you've collected enough data etc (but thats more on the optimization end of things).

Regarding ads you also want to be careful that you dont show too much skin, <20% text (although you can do more now), no before-after image etc that are clearly against FB policies.

Last but not least -- if all your ads get disapproved your account's Quality Score might be really low by now. Try uploading a few like ads or make FB algo understand that you're a good and well-behaved advertiser by putting up a blog on the same domain and promote your articles about health or certain aspects of fitness.

Hope that helped. Good luck!
Phil

I run weight loss ads on fb for a prodict I own. And i can tell you, your ads cannot single out a person or group of people. ARE YOU FIT FOR SUMMER? you are implying the reader is fat as well singling them out- you have to be more general. GET FIT FOR SUMMER AND FEEL GREAT! As well that image, cant show measuring tape as your are implying they will lose that much weight. Thats also a concern. Hope that helps.
