Hi guys,
I'm having a lead generation campaign.
I'm running it in Germany.
I set up 2 landing pages.
I've sent 12,090 clicks through the landing pages, and got only 8 leads.
It cost me around $1k.
Something here is really weird.
What do I missing?
After how much spend I can cut the placement in your opinion?
The offer that I'm promoting is free,
They just need to fill in First & Last name, password, email and phone number.
Any suggestions?
Yikes. That's a LOT to be spending with only 8 leads.
What is the payout on the offer, and are the pops desktop or mobile?
1. You need to make sure your lander's loading up fast enough.
2. Make sure it looks perfect on desktop on different browsers (above the fold etc)
3. You must make sure that your niche is generic and has a wide enough appeal.. Pops are interruptive marketing at the highest level. No one is going to care about a flower arrangement course , or a hair styling workshop advert on pops.
4. I'm not too sure about what niche you're in, but even a ridiculously direct "YOU HAVE WON 10 IPHONES FOR SURE 100%. ENTER DETAILS HERE TO CLAIM IT" or a "1 MILLION DOLLARS A DAY ON AUTOPILOT, MONEY BACK GUARANTEE" angle has a measly conversion rate. So when constructing your lander/angle/product on pops, take note of the above in mind.
5. Something worth considering. Add a call to action button to lead them to the page with the form to fill, rather than popping up the form directly. Getting them to perform a small action first is much easier than getting them to fill up their particulars on a pop straightaway
Good luck!
Did you do a RON or specific target ?
Obviousely the stuff you promote and the lp is not working on broad popunder traffic since you also lost
600 on other pops http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...809#post272809
Also I presume you are poping the users with a 5 field entry on 1st page. That doesnt really work. You need to dump some kind of intereaction before the field collection. A simple quiz akin to the win ipad ones, or some clickthru banner-like pic etc.. anything to get the user engaged with a click (or possibly more than 1 click) before he is hit with the input fields.
Pops work like this:
1) capture attention
2) get user to click (waste time on page)
3) get user to submit data
And some things just dont work on pops... ever.. unless you target it very very specifically.
So I would suggest this
1) Do a zeropark target url campaing - pick urls whose audience is matched to your offer
2) Change your lander so it contains some clicking before user has to submit data and/or kill the nr of fields. Do you really need 5? If you have call center cant you just deal with firstname and phone ? and get the rest of the data via call.. or on 2nd step ?
3) Define your lead value. Its your offer, you dont have payout cool. But you need to define the lead value that's your target, so you know where and when to cut.
