Title: Case Study – My First Facebook Campaign.

Hey STMers!

Hope everyone’s pumped for Berlin in July…I know I am!!!

Bangkok was an amazing show with a great turnout.

We know the ABC’s and 123’s of adult …we’re now looking to expand our reach into some of the mainstream verticals.

What better place to get some feedback from like minded people…. who know the industry & respect the hustle!

This is our first attempt at Facebook and we would appreciate any feedback / insight any of you may have.

Goal: Test our new internal tracker software with Facebook traffic and get a feel for Facebook marketing.

My final end goal is to work out any bugs with our tracker, keep test FB traffic and see if anything looks promising.

Budget: $500

Step 1: Create Facebook fan page:

Step 2: Make a bunch of posts and “boost” them:

Step 3: Create “facebook ads” of all types (fan page shop now link, news feed, desktop right side etc.).

Things I learned:

1. Boosted posts received lots of likes and comments but no sales. Both good and bad comments. Was surprised how many people posted negative comments. Especially comments of “don’t spam me”.

2. When choosing interests I did best with combining multiples. Example: Interested in hunting AND camping AND biking.

3. I made the most sales with the desktop right side ads and the “shop now” link on the fan page but nothing with the boosted posts.

Next steps: Further test Facebook pixels, remarketing, choosing different interest combinations and implement any suggestion STMers have.

Overall this was a cool learning experience of what’s available in the Facebook marketing world.
