Losing Half My Traffic on Go2Mobi (16)

Losing 1/2 My Traffic on Go2Mobi

Hey guys,

I've been running a Go2Mobi campaign in India recently.
Targetting only Indians on Go2Mobi. Tracking with Voluum.
I'd get 100 visits to Voluum, 20 clicks, and only 10 would show up on the network. The other 10 would show up as "international redirect"

Does anyone know what could cause this?

Have a nice day

Does it show as India traffic in Voluum?

Probably some VPN used and the affiliate network sees it as a different country than Go2Mobi and Voluum.

Yes it shows as India on Voluum, right now I'm at 138 clicks to the offer, and 200 clicks to "International redirect"
If I'd get all the clicks, I'd probably be profitable. Very weird

Any placement with like 100% CTR that could be a bot and then shows as different geo when it arrives at the aff network?

I checked the placements and all have a regular CTR

Is it perhaps an offer that accepts only certain carriers? Could be the other reason... If not, I would contact Go2Mobi and the affiliate network at the same time, get both sides of the story and play detective.

I'm on it. I asked the network if it accepts either broadband or carrier, but they said it accepts both. So it's not the problem. I'm trying it on the 3rd network right now to make sure. The aff network also mentioned it could be the browser language. But I'm not really sure what that means.

Step 2: contacted the network, still waiting for a reply. Could it be really devious bot traffic?
Let's see what they have to say.
Meanwhile, I'll run this bot test by caurmen to make sure.

Thanks I appreciate your help!

Its fake/questionable traffic most likely. Does the number of clicks you see in go2mobi match with what Voluum records? Also check the IPs in Voluum, dont you see many clicks from one IP? I had the same problem few days ago, it was a different source tho - lots of clicks sent to aff network and big part of them redirected away. It was some bots - tons of clicks from one IP and voluum recorded more clicks than the source sent.

It's either this, or traffic out of targeting required by the offer (could be also wrongly setup on the aff network side).

Thanks Matuloo I'm looking at this right now, and apparently I have a few IPs getting over 10 visits each, no clicks. How exactly do I blacklist them in Go2Mobi?
Go2Mobi did not respond after 2 emails, by the way.

@uby2121, what exactly is your problem?

@uby2121 - Could you start a new thread on this, please, rather than using this one? That'll get more attention to your problem and keep this thread focused on @chaavanov's concerns.

I dont think you can blacklist them in go2mobi, when this happens I simply ignore that traffic. Its true sometimes it complicates optimization, and if its too much you could configure your tracker to send it somewhere or block it (if the tracker allows it).

Hey Chaabanov,

Is the platform of the affiliate network Cake by any chance? I have had this issue pretty often. If they set GEO rules it is very likely that its pointed out as US traffic (or other GEO's). This happened to me very often when I worked with Indian campaigns. If the platform indeed is cake simply ask them to delete the GEO rules for this specific campaign and this should solve at least the discrepancy between your tracker and the affiliate platform.

Cheers,

Fabi
