Hi all!
I wanted to share with you my personal advice on a converting offer that I found on Mpire Network. But because I am still a rookie in return, I am looking for your advice on how how to optimize my campaign.
I've been running a campaign called Solo18 *ADULT (WAP) - IT [Vodafone & TIM Only] with a $8.50 payout rate for a few days. Although I am slightly in the red zone, my ROI is close to 0, so this offer does convert quite well.
However, I wasn't able to get in the green zone completely. Successful days are followed by unsuccessful, so I end up with zero returns.
I've been running my campaigns on Pop Ads. Mostly Pop Unders, but as practice showed yesterday Tab Unders are converting too.
Anyways, if you anyone could chime in to give an advice on how to make it profitable, I'd be very grateful!
Thanks guys!
Track which ad zones are not converting and add them to the blacklist.
Checklist....
> Test multiple offers
> Test from multiple networks
> Test multiple ad sources
> Split test landing pages
> Optimize your landing page
> Track ad zones and blacklist the bad zones
> Spend enough money to get good date ($300+ imo)
Yo the days with 0 click flow and so on in IT are unfortunately gone :-( That were the days of the pops...
Nowadays the payflow is not that easy any more and in my opinion you should move in this markets a little bit to Banners and Redirects. I was always a fan of avoiding landers on Direct Carrier billing offers but nowadays that can make sense...
Can you share some more insights like Volume and maybe a preview from the offer?
Hey Hugo,
How’s it going?
You’re now entering the optimization phase. Finding out that a spot is good and that it converts is great, but now you’ll need to adjust your campaign so it can be profitable. Moreover, you should also bear in mind that high pay-out countries such as Italy are harder to work on, especially because they have lower traffic and conversions. This means that you need more time to gather useful data in order to get the targeting right and optimize it properly (it also means you’ve got to spend more cash.)
First of all, you should definitely try using banners. A lot of the times, banners work better than pops. However, you should not use redirects, because they’re too expensive when compared to the quality they have.
Furthermore, you should really explore your options. Nonetheless, as your post is not very specific, it would be good to know - for example - if you can tell what’s the adnetwork you’re buying traffic from. That info, along with other details, would be important for me to know. Indeed, it would be the only way I could give you more specific tips.
From what you wrote, I noticed that you have one single campaign for the two carriers. Is this correct? I guess one thing you could start thinking about is splitting this campaign in two - one for each operator. Sometimes (or many times) their conversions, pay-outs and other parameters vary wildly. That’s why it’s important to optimize each campaign taking their specificities into consideration.
In addition, what you need to do now is optimize. It’s common to find a nice spot without being able to turn a profit, since it really requires a well-defined targeting. As I’ve alluded to before, the fact that you didn’t provide a lot of detail makes it impossible for me to give more specific, targeted advice. Even so, I always recommend every Media Buyer to check stats and cut the things that are not working well, when compared to the pay-out.
You should track ad zones and keep just the good zones. You should also do the same for websites, OS and all the different parameters available. From what I’ve understood, your conclusion is that the offer is good and you want to make it profitable. Great. You should focus on that part, which is the most important one after finding a potential campaign. In fact, the key is always to find the correct targeting.
If you want to give me a bit more info I’m sure I’ll be able to help you and give you some great tips!
Cheers!
