Marin Software alternatives as FB tool? Any suggestions?
Hi guys,
i used Marin Software in the past months to manage the FB campaigns, but it's a bit too professional (and expensive) for the purpose. I'm looking for a cheaper alternative.
I don't need the S2S features that Marin Software has, i only need to be able to use Thrive Tracker / Voluum with some variables filled out by the tool when i create the audiences.
Features i need:
1. Easily way to split test different audiences by age range/interest
2. Manage some custom variables e.g. min_age, max_age, country, interests tags in order to be able to create the campaigns with generic variables &min_age={min_age}&max_age{max_age}&country={count ry}, and the tool should replace these tokens with the ones of the audiences selected in the split test.
Smartly is a good alternative for what i know, but i'd like to know if there are more alternatives in order to test them. Qwaya seems to not support yet the tracking url variables.
thank you

One more thing...
I have just tested Adstage, but (as Qwaya does) they don't have the feature to exclude some specific behaviour. It's only impossible to include them. And it is another feature i need.

Hi @circa
thank you, but with AdEspresso it isn't possible to exclude behaviours. It's only possible to do it with user interests. It seems only Smartly has these feature, for what i tested.

Hey, how are you? nice to e-meet you.
You can start your free trial on Adsbridge. Check out our platform, btw, I can assist you with all settings, as well as moving your campaigns from any platform.

Hi alexom, thank you for your post but i know adsbridge and it is a tracking tool. I'm looking for a PMD/tool to run Facebook campaigns with the features i have explained.
Something like:
- Marin Software (it is the one i'm using but it's a bit expensive)
- Smartly (the best one i found with all the features i need)
- Adespresso (i like it but it seems it isn't possible to exclude behaviours, and not sure if they support tracking url tokens)
- Qwaya (i don't like the GUI, and they don't have the exclude behaviours feature too)

How expensive is Marin Software? Smartly starts at $500, and goes up according to your monthly spend. I remember zeno preferred social.com.

Excluding audiences is part of Facebook's flexible targeting functionality and I believe it is something that not many PMD's have implemented yet, for whatever reasons. Some of it comes down to figuring out how to adapt their UI to it.
As a workaround, if the PMD allows spreadsheet uploads then you can probably do it there, and you can possibly upload campaigns then bulk edit to add the desired exclude targeting after they upload (and hope/test that it doesn't break the ads in the PMD).
I have had to do that with Social.com who like many have not rolled out flexible conversion spec.

FB will have quite a few changes these days according to Qwaya.
Semi-relevant question:
Is there a way to put conversion information back to Facebook from S2S postback? So that FB can optimize for it? Maybe with a FB tool?
The closest solution imo is: after the user clicks on the button on the LP a pixel fires. But we would like to test a couple of things without LP and this would also allow more accurate data.
