Confused about hosting

Hi STMers,

I have started a niche wordpress blog that's hosted with godaddy and I have quickly managed to get traffic (mainly Australian - around 1000 uv pm).

I would like to start promoting offers related to this niche on facebook to an international audience.

Should I use landing pages that are separate from the site and host them on a CDN? or should I host the site elsewhere and use pages from it as landers?

Can I host the whole wordpress site on a CDN?

Apologies in advance if these questions are basic / confusing!

Maybe the reason I haven't received an answer is because this has been answered elsewhere? If so, I would appreciate a link

I think people are still recovering from the bank holiday weekend

International audience? So you'll be sending the same link to many geo's? Yes a CDN is what you're after. You don't want to host individual pages on a CDN, that would be a pain to manage. Here's a handy tool to check page load times around the world : https://www.dotcom-tools.com/website-speed-test.aspx

I'm not sure about built-in godaddy CDN's but there are quite a few wordpress plugins to get your site up and running with a CDN

You need to define what you actually want to do, because they way you wrote it is somewhat confusing.

1. So you created a blog and host it on godaddy hosting. - Understood.

2. You want to start to promote related offers on facebook. - I understand you want to promote offers, but how do you want to promote them? Is the blog the product, or is the blog promoting the product? Do you want to promote the product in a way that's not related to the blog? What role does the blog actually play in your plan to promote products on facebook?

3. should you use separate landing pages or use pages from the blog as landing pages? - I have no idea. You need to answer point 2 first, I don't understand what the blog has to do with the offers you want to promote. One thing is clear tho, CDN is only good to host STATIC content, so plain html (with javascript too), images, videos etc ... it cannot host SERVER SIDE scripts, so you definitely cannot host a wordpress install on a CDN.

Please try to describe your plan in more detail, right now Im not able to assist you properly.
