What to A/B test first

Hello everyone,
I'd like to ask about a/b testing creatives.
What should I test first? Angles or Designs?
Is there a general principle?
Or it depends? If yes on what?

Thank you in advance,
Panos

Angles are the biggest thing. Ie. 'Get rid of face wrinkles' vs get rid of turket neck vs get rid of cellulite vs get rid of veiny hands vs get rid of dark spots on your hands (for skin for example).

Then test some different images/headlines.

Then test designs.

Then try some more angles.

Then make the landers angle more congruent with your best ads.

Then repeat the process all over again.

Thats just an example of what i do, but hopefully that helps.

Like John said, the angle is really important. Based on what kind of angle qualifies the intent of the user. Some newer people get caught up in tedious things like if there should be a border around their image or changing the color of the call to action when the angle itself can really make or break you.

Thank you both John and Steadfast for your help. It's much appreciated. I get what you say. So, if I understand correctly John, always begin testing with the most important stuff. Get a lp design and try to incorporate my angles in it till I have a clear picture as to which angles are performing the best with that one design. As I go, I fix the designs to match my best performing angles.

Then make the landers angle more congruent with your best ads.
By ads you mean banners?
Thanks again.
