Is Facebook ever Ok with direct linking? (10)

Is Facebook ever Ok with direct linking?

1. I understand about the geo retargeting, and the WOT score posted by Zeno in the guides.

2. I could do a bait and switch on Facebook with Voluum (after geo targeting is setup properly).

However that said, does it matter what the WOT score is IF I implemented number 2 above?

As long the geo targeting is set up properly, will Facebook care if the link goes straight to the affiliate link through your tracker?

Thank you!

All they care about is you running a compliant site with compliant ads. So it really depends on what type of offer you want to promote. What vertical is it?

It's a whitehat niche for sure, been running for a while on Facebook with no cloaking or approval issues.

So basically the reviewer sees the site/offer is compliant, congruent with ads, it doesn't matter whether if you're direct linking, WOT score etc etc?

Compliance is frequently referenced on here, but my understanding is that even weightloss / muscle building products are technically compliant (as long the ads adhere to policy) yet, I often read about them getting banned or disapproved. Also, even whitehat clickbank products seem to be frowned upon.

So what is the definition of a compliant product?

compliant product: (noun) - Whatever the policy team feels isn't misleading given their moods at the time they see your creative...

I.e. it's pretty arbitrary. They have their rules (No health, no sex, etc.). I've only been able to direct link one offer - where I was able to argue and back up any claims made within the promo. It took months... It paid off. But, you're better off just writing more advertorials.

If you're talking about lead capture, you miiiight be able to get away with it. pm me if that's the case, I'll tell you some tricks.

The problem here is that weightloss and muscle is compliant, if you follow certain rules : for example you cannot make unrealistic claims, use celebrity names, unreal examples etc ... So you can make a weightloss campaign, link it to a landing page that says "If you workout like a bitch for 6 months straight, you will look better than you do now. With the help of our product, it will take you only 5 months and 3 weeks. BUY NOW!" ... this would be a realistic and legit angle As you can guess, you wouldn't sell anything this way.

So people come up with "better" landers like : "Eat this 100% natural pills and loose 50kg within a week, just like "put your favorite celebrity name here" did. Even Dr.Oz recommends and uses our product!" ... now you would starting selling, but obviously this isnt compliant and when you are caught, you get banned

Hey, @alfiss, it's great start, keep it up!

I have a great guide about the tracking setup with Facebook, which was tested on AdsBridge platfrom http://news.Adsbridge.com/fb-advertising/
