I started to play around with MOBILE: Affiliate Networks, Traffic Sources, Spying Software, Tracking Softwares for a bit now and I am getting a very general idea.
The part that I am struggling with is web hosting, domains, and uploading landing pages.
I have been direct linking for mobile installs so far. I know a landing page is, it is a quick stop from the banner to your offer, rather than than banner to direct offer.
How does this all work? I feel like I have all the pieces (Beyond Hosting Server, FileZilla), but I don't know where to even begin and how to use both of them. I just hopped onto the cPanel server and got connected to my server on FileZilla, but I stare at it with a blank.
Can anybody give me a bit of insight?
Hey nathanding -- You really need to watch some YouTube videos on basic HTML web design and hosting. It's all out there for free.
A quick overview of your questions with some Google searches you can do to learn more:
Web hosting is Beyond Hosting. That's where your website files will live. (Google: what does a web host do?)
Domain is the name of your website, like stmforum.com (Google: what is a domain?)
You create landing pages using a software like Dreamweaver (Google: How to make a landing page)
You use FTP software to upload the landing page files to your domain. I use Yummy FTP on Mac. (Google: FTP Software)
Each of your questions can be answered with a quick Google search or a search of STM forum.
Take a month, learn the basics. If you want to do affiliate marketing, these are all things you need to know like the back of your hand.
