Traffic Source bidding encounter (2)
Dear STMers
I had encountered some issues with bidding for traffic at a TS.
When I was doing low bid, the particular offer was doing fine and has good chance to be in green or at least cover the cost. Hence I tried to scale the bidding to higher bids in order to gain more traffic faster so that "logically" there will be more conversions.
But whenever I increased my bidding, there are totally no conversions end up causing my camp to be in a loss until i lower my bids and things went back to normal.
May I know what have I done wrong to the scaling or is there something I had understood wrongly?

I have the same issue, you might try to run two campaigns in parallell but in many cases you'll be bidding against yourself. And it may also be daily fluctuations, it may be other people testing out a really high bid (higher than yours) just when you are and taking all your good traffic, it may be the higher bid shows your ad on sites that are "high quality" but don't match your ad as much as the "low quality" ones. I think the only right answer is you'll never really know 100% surely.
Have you checked if one particular placement ate up most of your budget at the higher bid? Or if there are bots? I don't know if this is "right" or not but I always try to create a blacklist at lower bids before increasing it so much
