Deep Analysis of Rebill Campaign Promoted on Facebook.

This report was shared by Alpha Fuel. It's a full breakdown of a Rhonda Rousey angle rebill campaign that was promoted via FB.

How much was the profit?

^^ I'm not even sure if the person who made the analysis actually ran the campaign himself. I think he just studied a live campaign that he saw.

There are some good, rich insights here on angles and funnel design.

As with most case studies, however, you should not try to just copy this case study step by step.

Instead you should rather work to find nuggets of exportable insight that you can apply to your campaigns.

In this particular case, you definitely should not try to copy and paste this to run on FB unless you want a quick account ban, potential C&D's from multiple sources, potential legal/regulatory action against you, and one pissed off Rhonda Rousey wanting to kick your ass!

^^ This.

And yes Rhonda will most likely get you in an arm bar within 30 seconds if you use her brand without permission.

^^ Thank you for the solid advise! Although I left the diet/rebill niche back in 2010, but I'm now going to page the attorneys of Rhonda Rousey to come sue me. Gonna send in my ripped pages and all other digital assets to them. =) I will post a "Success Story" after this. This is gonna be fun.

@Mr. Green, as always, you come up with amazing angels and mind-blowing stuff! Keep up the great work!

How long was Alpha Fuel running this? / Over how many accounts?

Seeing some Rebill guys last for months, certainly more about the angle you approach with these days!

Wow, that continuity billing structure and idiotically constructed terms & conditions... it's like they copy/pasted stuff from other products without caring.

Well, at least they are making it easy for the FTC and the like, I think a 12 year old with an interest in the law could probably win against them in court.

In any case, nice funnel analysis!

Yeeeeeah, I'd say William McCorkle would be proud of this campaign (google the name if you don't recognize it)...

Nice thread. To determine the funnel efficacy did you run this yourself?

Did they send you a fedex/ups tracking number after the product shipped? Was their any further email followup?

Funnel systems work but i feel like this one is a little more black then grey lol... i would be interested to see how long this person was able to run it before the merchant/network took it down and if they even did.

It's like we all know how shady nutra + fake advertorials are but when you break it down to this level of detail...it somehow seems even shadier. haha

I first saw it being shared on my FB. But I think originally it was in a newsletter. I'm trying to get an answer from the guy who shared on FB.

Nice comment:

I used to work for this guy selling these little phone numbers two people to use in ads it was pretty shady but a really cool place to work. he did not have any respect for his customers because I do remember he himself sitting in the room with me talking to us (the group in training) about how to "talk to the assholes oops I mean customers."
It's a shame he didn't give himself a chance to change his ways.
The package was $39.99 or whatever but i paid almost $200.
I remember getting in early 2000's before 911. I was about 20 or so and needed to make extra money apart from the job. Sitting on the sofa one night, baked out of my mind, eating junk food, watching junk tv this guy pops up on my TV screen and starts getting me hyped up. It seemed like easy work.
So I wrote a bunch of stuff down and i called the number the next day. Yes, the package was $39.99 (or so) but then they told me... "If you want to make more money you should reach out to more people with different types of ads. The basic kit of $39.99 only gives you one option of your choice to make money with, which is one 1-900 number but each additional option(1-900) is an additional charge."
So i bought extra options and that's why it came to almost $200.
Once i got the kit, i started doing something, i don't know wtf i was doing. I never made any money. I was not pissed off, just bummed out that i couldn't figure it out. I owned the kit for almost 8 years sometimes thinking what i could have done right to actually make money cause i heard that some people actually did make quite a bit. So yes i was actually looking for solutions for a little while. But when the internet blew up i was thinking who even calls newspaper 1-900 number ads and phone sex these days?
This guy could be called Elvis Presley of affiliate marketing...
