A question about Voluum and events costs
I'm using Voluum to track my first campaign. It's the first month trial. I've just read that if you use Voluum for pops the monthly price can go up a lot, because of the massive amount of events.
After 1,000,000 events the price is 0,04 per 1,000 events (clicks on lander).
So, should I expect a monthly price of xxx,xx?
thanks

I think an event is any action. So if a user visits your site, clicks on your lander and converts, that will be 3 events.
That being said, it's really not that much. If you pay $3 CPM, you end up paying $3.04-3.12 CPM instead ONLY for visitors after your 1,000,000 threshold has been reached. If you run that much volume I think it's really negligible. You will probably not reach it in your first or even second month so you should worry about more important things for now
Good luck!

It is per event pricing, so depending on the traffic source, it can get quite expensive very quickly. I do know some folks spending $30,000 a month on Voluum, although I would imagine this is definitely toward the high end.

3$ CPM is a massive price, especially when you are an affiliate that runs pop traffic. That will probably get you from black into red numbers.
And 1 million impressions on pops will take you probably just a few hours to achieve if you put your daily spend high enough.

Yea I agree, if your running on high volume then you should probably upgrade your plan or switch to a more suiting tracker. But reaching 1 million events in your first month is unlikely.
For general pop traffic, $3 CPM is not massive and sometimes the mimimum allowed bid. I have campaigns running at as high as $26 CPM in more competitive geos. I think you mix this up with something else

I've reread the thread and thought after the new posts. I think that running campaigns in low competitive geos, pops, a 2 CPM, with a daily budget of 100 $ (50,000 events), it takes 20 days to reach 1,000,000 events, and go beyond the basic plan.
For the first months, daily budget 30-50 $, I'de be ok and not worry.
BUT
if I the CPM is lower, I'll reach 1million events sooner. In this case Voluum is quite expensive
but I may be wrong

Don't worry about this now. It's irrelevant when you're starting out.
Try to get in the mindset of spending money to test campaigns, and don't worry about Voluum costs until much later.

That's quite frankly upsetting.

This is why some very high volume affiliates often use
Thrive Tracker -- it's only on a per-click basis, not per-event, so if you're doing very high volume it can mean the difference in thousands of dollars a month in cost.

Hey @pershing, you can you alternative tracker Adsbridge. Adsbridge paid plans are limited only by visits and don't include other events into the pricing. Free trial for 30 days and than pricing plans starting from $29 monthly. Not bad, isn't it?
