I have a question about using friends personal accounts to run ads. I have some friends that will let me run ads on their account but I'd rather not have full access to the profile part of their account. I don't want to have that responsibility of being able to see all their private chats/messages and wouldn't want to be able to be blamed if their account got hacked or something. I know they can add me as an admin to their ad manager and I have done that before but I was wondering if it is a bad idea if I have gotten my own ad account disabled already. I had my sister add me as an admin to her ad manger and I used the account for a bit but eventually got hers disabled as well. I am wondering if it is a bad idea to have my friends add me to their ad manger now.
I can think of two options if I don't want to link it to my account to my own. I could obviously make another Facebook account and only use it for managing these other ad accounts or I could have my friends link their account to a 3rd party system like Nanigans or AdEspresso and manage the ads from there. Does anyone do either of these or have an opinion on which would be better/safer? On one hand I feel like I should be able to just manage them with my own account without issues but since my account is disabled and the way Facebook is makes me think it could negatively impact these other ad accounts that link me as an admin.
Don't link your disabled account to your friends account! Using an external ad manager is a good workaround.
Alternatively get an extension to block all Facebook URLs bar https://facebook.com/ads and https://business.facebook.com/ patterns.
Using only the URL https://business.facebook.com/ should be enough, you won't get personal notifications there.
Shoutout for AdEspresso if you choose an ad manager, have worked with them in the past.
Using an external ad manager on a fresh ad account if they haven't run ads before, is the quickest way to get those accounts banned.
To answer the op's question, the best thing you can do is to create a fresh facebook account and use that add the admin to your friends accounts.
