Hi everyone,
I've recently started running my first few campaigns and was wondering what exactly I need to do in order to start getting conversions. I'd rather start making money instead of just watching it drain away by the minute lol

Exactly, we cannot help you if you dont ask specific questions There is a ton of really helpful people on this forum, but you also need to do your part, nobody is going to hand it over to you on a silver plate

First of all, you need to decide what you want to promote, then prepare the creatives for it, register at aff networks, register at traffic networks, get some tracking and launch your first campaign.

This can be done in a matter of a few days, depending on how fast you can get approved into some affiliate networks. Before you do apply, I suggest reading as much as you can so you get a better understanding of the subject.

Read, test, collect data, and test some more. Keep testing until you fail. Come and ask about it here. Then test again. Rinse and repeat. You'll get there.

What type of campaigns have you started running? Have you received any conversions? Do you have any marketing background?

First of all, everyone on this forum (and outside) wants to make money... If you want to make money easily you are better off with a normal 9 to 5 job.

On the other hand, if you are ready to INVEST (not drain away) money and work hard, you will be able to get profitable campaigns within some time, with the help of the information in this forum.

First of all, try to understand how the industry/market works before you launch campaigns if not you will definately burn more money than necessary, it's a common mistake, many of us have done it here...

I've only been running campaigns for approx 8 months now and it took me a couple of months to get consisent results.

I've ran 4 campaigns so far (not many I know, just trying to learn as much as possible from each campaign and using what I learned on future ones), they include utility apps (primarily for android) and one game campaign. I'm extremely determined to make AM work and will do anything to see success and have this be my primary source of income. I have yet to see any conversions and do not have any marketing background other than friends that tell me a lot about it. I'm working with Avazu, and applying to other AN's all the time, use Go2Mobi for traffic, and Voluum for tracking. Any help is great help, so feel free to fill me in on anything I may be missing, or just advice on getting conversions.

4 campaigns is what I'm running right now. You don't need to run many campaigns to make money... I have campaigns in ZA , KE , MX and IN... they are all quite a handful! A lot of analyzing to do per campaign so you don't want to have too much to handle!

You will get conversions my friend! Because you've already set up Voluum and seem to know what you're aiming for.

It's a matter of time now, just don't dwell on offers, if you see that one doesn't convert after spending a couple of $ on it... move on to another similar offer or a complete different one.

I've had multiple campaigns running on G2M but for some reason nothing shows up on the Voluum end. Not quite sure if that has anything to do with tracking conversions or not? G2M can track just about everything as far as I can tell, but Voluum is being a bit difficult. Any tips?

True, I'll ask a few and hope you and any others can help out. What are the best Affiliate Networks for Mobile? Obviously I'm working with Avazu, and have been applying to many others (still waiting for approval on the others.) What niches are working for you right now? or do you run whatever you think will be best? How much money per campaign are you putting in before seeing conversions? What's the timeline of beginning a campaign, to seeing success (or failure)? I know that these can have pretty broad answers, which is fine, but as I said before I'm really determined to make this work and have AM be my source of income and anything that benefits me is great!

Hey man, I'm also pretty new here, so I'm in the same (or a very similar) boat as you. What I can tell you for now is to spend a lot more time reading the endless information on STM. Asking questions is great, but only if you are very specific. For example you plan on running sweeps in AUS using display ads. Is this a good idea? Your payout is $2. What should your daily budget look like. etc. Otherwise people have to get more information out of you by asking you questions, and this is time consuming, which will lower your chances at getting helpful replies from one of the many knowledgeable people here.

I would go to some of the following:

The-Mobile-Cookbook-The-Appetiser - This cookbook is pretty much the mobile bible as far as I'm concerned

Why-Smaller-Payout-Offers-Are-Often-Better - Briefly explains the effect payouts have on budgets and making timely decisions

CHEATSHEET-Do-s-and-Don-ts-for-Mobile-Display - Tons of useful tips with more links to follow/read

These just scratch the surface, and I'm at work, so I can't provide you with every useful thread, but go around and do some reading. I've done that for months when I first started (which is too long btw ;p). The mobile sub-forums are a great place to start for your situation

There is nothing like the best network, Avazu is a solid choice as far as I can tell. Just dont pick some unknown ones and you will be fine

Depends on the offer payout. The higher the payout, the more you have to spend. For example : with low paying offers, $1-2 or less, I want to see a conversion after a few bucks spent, if its not there I start to look for problems. Let me add that I have proven creatives prepared since Im doing this for some time already. When testing something new, I expect to see conversions later of course.

Impossible to tell, really. Some campaigns never work and you will loose money on them no matter what you do. Sometimes you become profitable at the first shot. Usually it takes a few days as you have to wait for the data to come in.
