How to create my own affiliate network in my own ecommerce store?
Hello everyone!
Let's say I have one product for sale, or hundreds or thousands of them.
How can I set up an affiliate payment system, so I can have affiliates promote the products that I sell?
What would I need to invest? An affiliate platform? Which one?

Most affiliate networks run on cake or hasoffers software - both of them are pretty much the same with similar pricing. Some of the bigger boys run on custom software.
If your future affilates plan to promote offers via banners, text or presells you should be fine on cake or hasoffers. If they plan to run traffic by directlinking on popunders you'll prolly go broke.
If you dont need a proper affiliate software (with postbacks etc..) then you could prolly pickup some plugin provided by your shop software, or use postaffiliatepro or similar.

If you're running a Shopify store (which I'd recommend anyway - good platform) they have numerous apps to make setting up an affiliate program relatively straightforward and fairly low-cost.
Here's their official post - a little out of date, I think, but still useful: https://www.shopify.co.uk/blog/53669...-shopify-store
I'm not sure whether any of those offer robust tracking with postbacks etc, though.

I didn't find a Shopify app with a postback feature.

@amsterdamer - interesting opportunity for someone! Shopify apps aren't exactly the biggest projects in the world...

As mentioned by Caurmen you can go with the
Shopify route but then you have to deal with your own char backs and refunds that will occur when selling online products to customers. The other route you can go ( once you have tracking in place from hasoffers or cake you can approach an affiliate network who has access to thousands of affiliates who have experience selling products/services online. Now that being said yes you will still have charge backs but you also gain an extra layer of security since most affiliate networks have a compliance team who is always looking at whats going on.
best of luck!
