Hi all,
I'm starting my first affiliate campaign. I've decided to start very simple and have followed the 'Mobile Cookbook: appetiser' (Thanks Caurmen!).
Campaign 1
Offer: $1000 Apple voucher
Vertical: Vouchers/Sweeps
Traffic source: Go2Mobi
GEO: NZ
Payout: $0.88
Budget: $30/day per campaign
Bid: Auto
Angle:
-Went for the collect your gift angle
Banners- here's my 8 banners which I mocked up quickly. No animated banners, just static and simple

I'm waiting for the creatives to be approved at the moment. Feel free to leave any tips or things I could do better, still learning as I go
I really like the variety in the banners. I'm curious how this turns out as this is *very* similar to the verticals/geos I'm considering for my first mobile campaigns. Currently waiting for approval from F5 and MaxBounty. Are you doing DL for this?
Here's a suggestion/question: Is it appropriate to use company logos in creatives? Ie. the apple? Might be more eye catching.
Yeah I've just followed the cookbook so there's no landing pages, banners will go direct for now.
Ask your AM about the logos, it can vary from offer to offer. One thing I'll mention, is you will probably notice a ctr increase if you do make some dynamic banners even just background color changing(easy stuff), definitely A/B split test to prove it, but it was my findings when I was running on go2mobi. GL on your quest!
Appreciate the tips and advice. Yeah I think it will be a good idea to make the banners more dynamic as you said.
I've only had one conversion so far and it's coming up to a $20 spend, question for all: Is it better I bin off these static banners, making them more dynamic and starting again?
Whenever you can it would be great to create dynamic banners. They are more catchy. Congrats on your first conversion, guess you've completed stage 1
Some highlights from my mind:
*use different offers from different affiliate networks and split test between them.
*set 3-5 campaigns - each campaign with a different bid, for example: auto bid, average bid, low bid and high bid.
Good Luck!
