Native advertising to become less effective?

Came across the above article. How do you think this will affect us marketers, if at all?

Yes, it's almost certain to.

Native advertising is perilously close to being paid editorial right now, and the FTC and equivalent bodies really don't like that.

However, it'll still be possible to be profitable - just like every other traffic source that started out as the Wild West and gradually was tamed.
