Facebook Ads: When you are charged?

I have noticed that I can choose if I want to get charged by Impressions (CPM) or by Post Engagements on my Post Engagement Ad.
What are the difference, is there any difference by price?

I am talking about these:

They optimise differently. CPM works better if you only care about eyeballs/branding.

Post Engagements is geared towards something like a social media campaign. e.g. Contest on your FB page.

So for Affiliate Marketing Post Engagements is better?

Depends on your goal. Impression that optimises for FB Pixel always work best since it optimises for that specific conversion instead of something vague like "engagement".
