My way to just $1 per day (7)

My way to just $1 per day

Hey everybody,

After thinking about which way to take regarding AM I decided to go Mobile / Pops...

My intention when I started was to do some nutra, native, FB, etc... but, to be honest, my budget is very low... so I thought that I need to be more flexible if I wanted to reach my goals...

Now my plan is to make Mobile pops work, save money reinvest and in the nearly future explore the nutra niche with a bigger budget...

So let's start...

I don't want to concentrate on getting $xxx $xxxx per day right now, no because I don't want to make that amount of money, but the reason is that if I get more concentrated on optimizing my campaigns and realizing what is working and what is not I would be able to make that amount more easily.

Offer: 4 Offers (Whatsapp, Antivirus)
Vertical: Mobile Pin Submits
Traffic source: Exoclick
GEO: Latam
Payout: $2.95
Budget: $20/day
Bid: Smart CPM... Bidding 4.425 CPM <------------ Is this too much??

I have ripped 5 landers that I saw that are working great on this particular GEO... also, I just created a ridiculous angle just for fun to see if it works...

Also I'm targeting Wifi traffic to land on an auto rotator (YTZ) trying to monetize as much as possible.

Things to do:

- Wait for exoclick to approve my ads... (actually I can see that they rejected my ad because they want to verify my account and they're going to get in touch in the next 72hrs )
- When my campaign is ready I will need to gather some data... and start seeing what offers, landers and places works the best.

Questions:

- Is it smart to run a Mobile / pin submit with adult traffic or should I change my offer to an adult one?
- I don't' have a lot of budget. Should I go RON?? or any other tactic is best?
- I think that I'm bidding quite high, what do you guys think?

Let's do this!!!

1. Model your ads after something you see currently working on exo. Nu use reinventing the wheel.
2. The less budget you have, the more targeted you should be. Literally research the individual sites/pubids/placements where you want to run. You have more time than money, so use that to your advantage.
3.bids dont matter, roi does. Just like in stock trading, it doesnt matter the price of the stock, just whether you can sell it for more or less.

Stop for a while and plan better

1. PIN submit offer requires CARRIER traffic, forget about WIFI. It CAN work sometimes, but it usually will not. DO NOT BUY wifi for this.

2. The bid might be high and it might be not, you will need to test it. What does the estimate tool show as the top bid? Dont try to beat the top bid when starting out.

3. EXO is full of crap traffic - dont get me wrong, there is a ton of good traffic too, but the since its the largest adult source there is also the most crap Make sure you have good bot detection measures in place before launching, there will be a lot of bots.

4. I wouldnt launch this in RON, latam geos are huge and it can kill your budget in a few minutes. BTW : with big geos, exo never stops at the daily limit and goes over it a bit. Try to start with a decent sized premium placement, or pick a few of them. Dotn forget to set SMART CPM if you do this or you will be overpaying on some placements.

5. Check with the AM if they accept adult traffic for the offer at all. Adult traffic can work of course, just make sure its allowed.

Whatever the settings/placements/bids will be, try to set it up in such a way that you spread the budget across the day.

John,

Thanks... yes actually the landers that I have ripped are landers that are appearing over and over on Mobile pops.

You're right about the target. I will spend some more time researching for good places before I start sending traffic.

Hello matuloo,

Thank you for stopping by.

1. Yes, actually I'm only targeting 1 accepted carrier for these offers.

2. I'm going for Mobile redirects... the estimation tool says that the lower bid is $3 ... and I'm bidding 1.5x my avg. payout. with Smart CPM of course. Now I'm pretty comfortable about bidding this high I suppose.

3. Is there a particular technique to detect bot traffic? or just with my tracking solution?

4. Ok, I will change that... to only focus on their premier spots thanks.

5. Yes the offer is good with adult traffic, so basically we don't have any problem at all with this.

The traffic estimator says that with my particular targeting I would be getting 19,000 impresions per day... is that a low or a high number?

Thanks

My campaign has been approved... I doubled checked that my links are working fine... making some final tweaks... and we're launching

Will wait for data to start rolling and see what we can improve.

You mentioned WIFI traffic in the post, that got me confused.

As for bot detection, start with this " http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...367#post180367

Dont go for top bid, you dont know the targeting of the top bidder. He may be just targeting some tiny segment that works really well. Start lower and increase slowly.

19000 isnt much, must be a smaller GEO or carrier.

Good luck! Report back when you have some data
