Personal Account Banned (14)

Personal Account Banned

Hey guys, I have a friend of mine that was roped into some deal with a random guy to setup an ad account on their personal account. Everything went okay during the process (from what she told me), but then after about a week her actual personal account was banned (not the ad account). She didnt actually run an ads or anything on her side. She called me and asked what to do. So I had her contact the person that she had the deal with and he said that wasn't running ads until that very day the ban happened. and his account (probably a fake personal) was on the other end of the ad account for management. I've never ran on facebook, but since I wanna at least help her out I told her to submit a request on facebook's help section for "my personal account is disabled" and had her send in her ID and some info about how she really needs her account and didnt do anything wrong.. etc. within a few hours facebook sent her an email mentioning that someone was trying to log into her account and facebook disabled it for her safety. then there was a link to click to reset her password(account?) and verify, but when going through the link it just took her to the "account disabled" page again.
My question, does anyone know what to do in that situation? Or if anyone can shoot me a PM or something for a work around or if they have anyone's contact info for facebook to see about resolving this or looking into it? I've never ran ads on facebook so I dont know if theres anything that can be done. Poor girl didnt even do anything wrong and apparently the person that ran the ad only did a page promo or something for their fitness page. Apparently he was baffled as well how the account was actually banned on the personal side of both accounts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated STM fam!

What type of ads was "your friend" having run by the "random guy"?

Basically she took the deal that is floating around now, there are guys who offer I think 5 bucks per day when you let them use the ad account under your personal account. Once you do that, they run cloacked campaigns on it until it gets caught and the account banned. Its the new way of getting warmed up facebook accounts. It was a pretty stupid move on her part if she really got involved in this Im afraid she will have a big problem getting the account back.

She said he setup a fitness page, spent about a week or something posting up content then after he ran a page promotion the personal side of both accounts were gone. He kept saying that only the ad account side should have only gotten banned and not the personal side. So I dont even know what to tell her since im an FB noob

They didn't ban her personal account. All she needs to do is follow the link to reset her password.

So when she goes to facebook to log in, she gets a red titled "personal disabled" message.
Then I told her to go to the help section and send in her personal ID to confirm her identity.
Few hours later she got an email from facebook saying "someone tried to access your account.. answer a few questions, etc" Then it has a "secure your account now" link.. but when she follows it, its shows that same Personal Disabled page.
But what's odd is she didnt get that email until after sending in her ID on their help section of Facebook.

After you filled that out, just wait for a reply from FB. Her personal account is fine but her adverts account has been paused pending FB's review.

You can try to get on their Live Chat if it's available to her.

so he was running offer by connecting her account to his business manager account and then controlling the account like that or he just log in using her personal information

if he did that fb blocks the account because he probably log in for a different ip

but paying people for using their ad account is a good way to get accounts most people will never use fb ad account

Well there seems to be a glimmer of hope for her! do you know how to get live chat? is there some where to go on Facebook? Do you think its worth sending in more than 1 request?

Just asked her, she said he connected with her initially over some remote type session and he linked another facebook account to hers. Business manager I'm guessing? Hope facebook shines their ray of light on her!

I personally know a person who lost his personal account this way - and heard about many more who did too. No idea if this happens to everyone who "leases" the ad account to clockers like this, but its definitely happening to some.

I guess it depends on what type of ads were ran. Was is something malicious like TS?

Hopefully she has learned an important lesson now in all of this not to lease her personal account.
