Thinking of moving away from GetResponse to Interspire + SMTP for better control. What is the best SMTP to use currently now when Mandrill has shut down? Amazon SES?
Looking first and foremost for deliverability to the receiver's inbox. That is more important than price, although price is of course important too.
Amazon SES + Sendly - 100%
Thanks mate. How is your delivery rate with Amazon SES? Do you keep your own reputation with it or will you share a domain with other users?
I have really good quality scores on my emails in terms of response rates, CTR, open rates etc. I'd prefer to live or fall by my own reputation.
I've used SES+Sendy and we always had a pretty decent delivery rate with our own reputation. Depending on the volume they can get a bit cranky though.
Yeah, with our first use we actually got suspended after about 2 weeks.
I believe someone on our time managed to sweet talk them into upping the sending limit the next month.
It's actually fairly easy to keep under their bounce rate limits by throwing in a lot of 'working' ghost emails.
Does anyone know how good and responsive is Amazon's tech support? Do they do those suspensions as a routine? And, how well they deliver to TLDs?
your own setup always good
Mandrill.com has the best delivery in my own experience but they don't want affiliate.
You can try to get an account if you run your own offers.
sendgrid.com work fine too.
Thank you.
