Some of you may already read some comments at the Facebook vs Pin Submit discussions about Facebook Advertising for VIP Response. I have been doing FB advertising (self-employed) for over 5 years now, mainly on insurances and finance. Facebook seems to be a tough b*tch when it comes to pin submits. However I would like you guys to show some insights on how to make good profit on FB with pin submits. Some luck is needed too by the way ;-)
Important notes v1.
– no cloaking involved
– no prelanders involved
– just direct linking (ad → click → campaign page)
So, what do we need to start;
– a FB account, warmed up and war ready!
– branded pin submit campaign, in my case mainly UK, IE and AU. For example Tesco or Marks & Spencer
Setting up the ad
Create a new Facebook fan-page, relevant to the brand. This part makes the ad thrustworthy and is key to make the campaign profitable. For example; TescoShopping. Could be risky yes, but very much needed.
First, I come up with a good title/header, around 7 words, to catch the attention of the consumer. For example; Why Not Compete For a €500 Tesco Voucher? It doesn't have to be agressive, just a plain simple header could do the job. Without much misleading the spam reports, bad comments etc will be less too, what keeps your ad healthy and profitable for a while.

Second, Google as much as possible images/photo's regarding Tesco (instore, shopping bags, front store etc). Trust me, even the dumbest looking images could have the highest CTR! Test these images all with the same line (maybe not the best way, but for sure the easiest way to see which images work best).
Third, come up with a good call to action, it's not needed to be agressive again. “Just Answer the Question” will do perfectly for example.
Last, use a visible url, something like; tesco-vouchers.co.uk/enter-here
Targeting
Let's not make this very hard; women 35+, who are interested in Tesco (similar brands)
Mobile newsfeed only.
Now your campaign is live, keep your ads clean from bad comments, block any “spam, cost, enter, subsciption” words at the FB page settings. Keep some doubting comments, to make it thrustworthy and not too one-sided.
And ofcourse I don't have to tell you to optimize on text/image/audience/targeting during the campaign to get the best CTR, lowest cpc and best ROI!
Some insights
– over 100% ROI on average
– CTR' of 7% on ads are reached, on broad audience (3 mill+)
– trying to find the right angle is sometimes easier than you think
– again, an image which doesn't attract you, might attract your potential audience (so not only test images which you “like”)
Hereby some stats+example, not sure if it's adding something to the story tho'.

credits to @stickupkid for this case.
Nice work!
Very insightful case study - thank you very much for the most generous share!
Amy
Nicely done! Did you have a direct relationship with the advertiser on this one?
try try.
tanks bro @gijsvipresponse
What made you want to share this? Did the offer die out?
I see that you also promoted Boots/ASDA Pin Submit in the UK, JuicyWin, VIPwinning, UFX and some car accident injury claim offer.
Mind sharing if those performed for you?
How many accounts did you lose in total ?
Zero, still rollin' on the same account (personal account). Fingers crossed tho' everyday!
Nice find. Do you own VIP RESPONSE? Do you own these offer too?
you banked six figures with this offer with only 1 account ? You serious ?
I am unable to spend more than 1-2k with aldi offer... always get banned
Not kiddin' at all. Only one account and still alive and kickin. It's my personal account, did a warm-up for 4 years on finance and insurances before I started doing pin submits last november full pull!
showing datas and infos of a living and profitable campaign. You are generous just saying..
If I want to add something on a forum, I prefer to do it good. Maybe it inspires others too to do that on STM ;-)
Welldone!
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing, I agree very generous. Nice work
Which network have the best PIN offers
There are several I think; F5, Mundo, Avazu and ofcourse VIP Response for example.
What was the conversion rate on this pin-submit offer?
Between 5-10% in general.
just gave it a fast try on one account, for UK 10% ROI with low payout (6,5$), no optimization at the moment
good share
So this campaign works basically because Facebook haven't had a closer look at your campaign and realised it's a pin submit, which I guess is against the FB rules?
When I used brand names in my ads on FB the account got banned really quickly
I think that the fact you warmed it up for 4 years might have helped out.
Nice share though, I might try again pin-subs on FB.
Does it still work?
I have a very good warmed account 5+ years old
Great Share Tim Thanks
I added you on Skype ( want to talk about something)
wow nice..
can you explain "branded pin submit campaign" little better? how would I actually know which is branded?
Hello there,
Thank you for the share.
Is it still working ?
Bump. Any updates to this method? Perhaps with some improvements it could still come out successful.
Read my recent posts, links in the signature! Summarized; yes, it still works.
Hey stickupkid
Thanks for the share mate, Exactly what i wanted to know! I have a lot of old FB accounts so this is exactly what i was looking for to test them on
Thanks once again!! Will update you with my success on this.
Hi stickupkid,
I want to test this out, do i need an account that has a decent amount of spend already? Whats the a good network for for these offers?
I never used
Is this info still relevant all these years later @stickupkid? Anything you'd tweak in 2019/2020?
