I understand that USA is highly profitable market, but also the most expensive. I'm interested what other GEOs are hot? I'm running a POP campaign. As I'm from Serbia I'm thinking about giving a try some offer which is available for my country because I know the language and how the people think here.

It depends, you can run great campaigns in Australia and you can run great campaigns in Poland. US is the most expansive for a reason though.
I dont think you should be fixated on a specific GEO just because you are familiar with it. It nice that you know the language and how people think but it also needs a good offer. Have a talk with your AM`s, see if they have offers they recommend in Serbia that may suit you.
But you shouldnt be afraid to test offers in other languages. There are decent options for translations that will help you get ads/creatives for other languages.

USA is not the only market you can work on. It has big volumes of traffic, forcing you to spend a huge part of your budget in order to test what seems profitable.
When selecting a segment, you have to take many factors into consideration – not just the payout. First of all, you should look at the cost of traffic: how much you will spend; secondly, the conversion rate (try to find a GEO in which you will face less competition, so that you will have more conversions while still making sure the cost of traffic is kept low); lastly, the payout.
Indexes such as eCPM (revenues per 1000 visits) and eCPA (average cost per acquisition) will help you evaluate whether or not the GEO is going to be profitable for you.
In my opinion, the USA is already too popular. I am not saying you can’t convert there. However, you should definitely explore less crowded GEOS in which you’ll have both a high CR and a good margin. Moreover, the process of data collection will be much faster which means you’ll be able to optimize your campaign from the beginning.
That is why Serbia, with a good offer, might actually work very well, mostly on 3G mobile traffic. If you’re really keen on Serbia, here’s my suggestion:
Serbia – VIP – Android
Based on my Media Buy experience, I suggest you try starting with 300x100. If things go your way, you can later scale up to the most competitive spot: 300x250.

I find that many tier 3/4 geos have cheaper traffic, good traffic volume, high conversion rates, and lower competition than tier 1/2 geos.
Try geos in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
