Stuck at start :( (11)

Stuck at start :(

Hello everybody,
I've been on board for about a week.

I'm studying hard and got the big picture of mobile display.

I've got a lot of ideas, all the split test strategy ready in my head (and on paper as weel), an account in Go2Mobi ready to roll, but...

I cannot get in to a single Affiliate Network.
I am also skyping with a couple of representatives found in STM directory, but noone seems to have time for me (everybody is busy, I clearly understand that).

I am wondering if I should keep on trying with other networks or I should stop and keep on learning "theory".

I am building my website, even if I won't use it for the first part of my "career".

Any further advices about this?

ps is possible to work on specific affiliations with product producers? there is a common way to find these producers / opportunities?

thanks a lot

hey sharkeuino , welcome to the forum

i had some issues myself getting approved with the networks at first , i suggest you read this first http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-First-Network

the more you can show them of your experience the better , most didn't take me in only after i ran a campaign ,
you can also mention that you're going with the appetizer guide on stm using go2mobi , haven't tried myself i have to admit but it might help, if you feel like reaching out send me a PM and i'll try to help

best of luck
ofer

Hey mate!
Thanks for your answer, i really appreciate. I've done al the stuff that link advices except for the site which i am working out.

How did you make your first campaign before become an affiliate?

I'll write you for sure
Thanks

Hey Shark, in addition to everything Dishiinc said, you are using the right approach. Keep applying to networks, skyping people, and I would also suggest connecting with affiliate network/managers on LinkedIn. Someone will let you in eventually. Also, I have found that getting answers/approvals over weekends regardless of where you are on the map is usually a quiet time so definitely keep it up hard M-F until someone lets you in.

Affiliaxe and addiliate are very active on this forum, I would be really surprised if they'd deny your application after you mention you're a member of STM and trying hard to absorb all the information from this place I have also seen adsimilis guys post here claiming they are newbie friendly.

This thread may help:

How many networks have you applied to so far? And how long have you been waiting? The more networks you apply to the more doors will open. If you've applied to 10 networks and don't get into at least 2, send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

thanks Joanie!

and thanks everybody for the great support.

An update for you all:

I managed to get approved both in addiliate and F5 media and tomorrow I will talk with Joanie.

Initial frustration left place to a new wave of excitement

I'm currently studying the network platforms (choosing the first offer is really exciting) and I'm planning to start a campaing for the next week.
I'm also planning for a detailed follow along thread in order to keep you update and get all the possible support in my early moves from this great audience.

stay tuned
